Brought our kitten here for a very unfortunate euthanasia caused by what seemed to be FIP. When we called the receptionist was very friendly and nice. She made everything very easy and was understanding about our kitten being in so much pain and needing immediate help. The vet and his assistant (Nurse?) did an examination, paid more attention to detail, and were very kind and understanding about the position we were in. They were both knowledgeable and told us the options we had. The euthanasia was done properly and quickly and I'm very happy that we brought our baby there to be put out of his pain. My future pets will only be coming to this animal hospital even though it's a good half hour away from where I live. Highly recommended.

Dr. Charles Dolin took care of my bearded dragon (reptile), Puff. Puff is about 13 years old (he's a rescue so I'm not exactly sure of his age) and suddenly became ill and wasn't eating. Dr. Dolin spent a lot of time with Puff and I, explaining normal and abnormal behavior, diet, and other needs with great detail. Puff came away from his visit hydrated (subcutaneously) and with a vitamin & appetite stimulant prescription. After a week of the prescription (fed with an eye dropper), he started eating on his own again. Now it's 2 weeks since the visit and he's back to his normal eating habits and weight. I'm VERY satisfied with Essex Animal Hospital and will recommend them to all friends and family.

This hospital is the best for the general wellness of your animal. They do make it hard for you to use all there services as they are expensive. Especially for the spay/neuter. The only complaint is that i felt that people who have multiple pets and the Vet sees them at the same time, you should only be charged the vet fee once. Especially if the time needed is around the same as it is to see one.
