I took my dog here for an emergency visit when she was unable to keep food in (from either end). Even though my dog was not a previous patient, they were able to accommodate us, and gave a high level of care to my dog. I live in West New York, so while maybe in comparison to Hoboken the prices are cheaper, but in comparing these prices to North Bergen they're a little high. The office visit was about $20-25 more than my local vet. However, despite this, I feel like I got the right care for the money, so I don't mind the marginal premium. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

We've been taking Dusty (terrier) to Animal General since we adopted him June 2013. It has always been a very pleasant experience. The staff is very caring and thorough. I always leave confident that I got the best care for my four-legged friend. Once I brought in my family dog for a neck injury and they were just as caring for him as a first time patient. They were kind enough to review photos and videos even during late hours and gave us great feedback. I highly recommend Animal General!

We're so happy we decided to take our pets to Animal General! We brought our recently adopted lab mix in for a check up and saw Dr. Tierney, who was absolutely wonderful. He didn't rush us, was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions, even the ones we didn't know we should ask! We've had a few questions since our visit and we never hesitate to call. The staff is very warm and personable, and they never make us feel like a nuisance. Plus, the prices here seem very fair and much cheaper than vets in Hoboken.

I really enjoy this vet office. Dr. Herzog was amazing with our dogs, the vet techs were also extremely pleasant and great with our little ones. The only complaint I would venture would be that the waiting room is rather small, it was only an issue for us because our dogs aren't the best with other dogs so we chose to wait outside to avoid unnecessary quarrels. But the vet is great and we will definitely be using them from now on!

I just moved to NJ, and adopted a pet a few months ago. I had the most wonderful experience I actually logged on here to rate it. Dr. Tierney was gregarious, warm, and friendly, the staff was helpful, and I couldn't have been happier.
