In the heart of bergen county, there's still a place you can take your pets and not worry about breaking the bank, and still give them quality care. Dr. K is great. He's been working with animals for a long time and you can tell he loves what he does. Oradell is a great hospital for surgeries, and other emergencies, but for check-ups, vaccines and routine maintenance, hackensck is the place to go. The prices are also very reasonable and most medication you can get from there as well. Highly recommended.

not happy how the receptionist answer the phone didn't greet when answering and very unfriendly they do not let you even explain why you are calling for and just start telling you prices for everything ..i was looking for a vet closer to where i live but i wouldnt change my vet after this

I have been to see Dr. Krauter for my dog and cat. Both times he was very gentle with my pets and thorough in his examinations. The vet techs were also very friendly and you could tell they were passionate about animals. The office visit is average for this area. Sometimes you go to a animal hospital and you get the feeling they are trying to squeeze more money out of you by up-selling medicines and treatments, but I didn't experience that pressure here. The doctor doesn't perform surgeries anymore, but will refer you to a vet/animal hospital in the area. For checkups and vaccinations, this place is more than fine. The building is right next to the Burger King, so if there isn't room on the street, you can park in the BK lot and walk over. There's just one exam room and the building is small/old-fashioned. Definitely nothing fancy, but I prefer solid care over bells and whistles when it comes to my pets. When I last called, their hours were: Mon 9-11:45 & 6-7:45, Tues 2:30-4:45, Wed 9-11:45, Thurs closed, Fri 9-11:45 & 3-4:45 and Sat 9-12. Please call ahead to make sure as this could have changed by the time you read this review.
