We took our first dog Sammy to Hawthorne Animal Hospital for the better part of 16 years. Sometimes it was for the routine stuff, but towards the end our dog became more and more of a challenge. We always felt that Sammy was getting the best care available right up until the end. They are competent, thorough, reasonable, and above all caring. Now that we have another dog, Lucy, we continue to rely on their expertise for all her medical needs. I highly recommend Hawthorne Animal Hospital to anyone with veterinary needs.
Worst Vet experience in my life. I have been using this hospital for years and was always satisfied with their service. However, when it came time to put my cat to sleep, they were the most insensitive people I have ever met. My family and I arrived for her appointment a little early to fill out the paper work. My family and I were sent to the room where the procedure would be done. We waited and waited and all the time hearing laughter and giggles coming from the room next door. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting we walked out. When I told them how unprofessional and insensitive they were the Vet could only say "what did we do?" They seem to think it's acceptable to have to wait during such a stressful time and offered no apology. I guess this was to be expected since the Vet felt like they did nothing wrong. One thing to know is this Hospital is not longer privately owned. A corporation now owns them which could account for the number of good Vets that have left this practice.
I have been taking my Yorkie, Indie, to the Hawthorne Animal Hospital since she became a part of our family 7 years ago, when she was 6 weeks old. The care she received at HAH is beyond compare, in my opinion. We are always greeted with a smile and spoken to in a friendly voice, which puts both Indie and I at total ease. The staff, doctors, and super clean office makes this facility a pet owners dream. I love my Indie and am so happy that she is treated in such a wonderful manner at this Hospital. When we first arrive at the office her first order of business is to search out her favorite doctor, Dr. Lynn Robben. Her gentle touch always makes for a very pleasant visit for both of us. No matter what the procedure needed might be, it is always explained in complete detail and leaves no doubt in my mind as to what might should be expected. There are not enough stars for me to check about this place. All I can say is THANK YOU ! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!
I have been bringing my dogs to Hawthorne Animal Hospital for nearly 8 years. I was so impressed by the courtesy and care provided by all of the Doctors and Staff, that even when I moved a distance away I continued bringing my dog and then all of her new brothers and sisters (both canine and feline) there. My dogs have been seen and cared for by all of the Veterinarians at HAH, each of whom brings their own specialness and love of animals to the practice. The Staff and Vet Techs are all amazing as well and compassion emanates from each of them. We always receive a friendly greeting when we call or come in and the Vets, Techs and Staff alike all know each one of my menagerie of fur children by name. The prenatal care that one of my girls received when she was expecting her 1st litter of puppies was wonderful. The staff and Vets shared in our excitement and anticipation and they helped make it extra special by printing us ultrasound and xray pictures of the babies so that we would have them for the puppies baby book! This wasn’t something that I asked them to do, they themselves were thoughtful enough to think of giving us those photos, and I truly appreciate that they did that. Everyone at HAH shared in the excitement when the new puppies arrived. Their enthusiasm added so much positive energy to this joyous occasion. When we go to HAH, no one there treats us like we are “just a client.” They treat us as though we are an important and valued friend or family member, and all of my fur kids, my husband and I feel the same way about everyone at HAH.
My cat Speckles lived 19 years (I had her since she was 7 weeks old), and I credit her longevity and quality of life in part to the guidance and care we received from the vets and techs at Hawthorne Animal Hospital. They are exceptionally caring people who can be counted on to put the needs and comfort of the animal first.
