Dr. Barbaris has been wonderful. We switched to this vet after going to the Animal Hospital on Washington street who were awful. You don't have to make an appointment and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes to see the vet. Everyone is really friendly and thorough. They are also really reasonably priced. Our dog was diagnosed with kidney disease so we have been to the vet several times over the last six weeks and everything has been really reasonable. They even helped us overturn an appeal from our insurance company who was denying coverage for our dog. You can email the vet any time and they are great about getting back to you and answering all of your questions. I can't say enough good things, we are really fortunate we switched.

We live next door. They have always been very friendly and very compassionate. We had to put out Rotty to sleep years ago and they have us all the time we needed to say goodbye. I now have my 19 year old cat here and the vet spent a lot of time with me. The price is outrageous but I'm in Hoboken. If we don't want to travel or can't, that's what you pay for. The front desk also kinda rushs you out without my medication or instructions. They asked me if I got my meds and I said I didn't. Anyway be prepared to pay $400 for a medical exam, comp health screen (blood work) and medication. Medication is expensive here.

I have had all good experiences with my dog here. everyone is friendly, the service is good, prices are fair and we have never had to wait more than a few minutes. the only reason i did not give it 3/3 is because one doctor made some comments was i not thrilled with. my dog is part pit bull, and she commented (2x, on two different visits) on how i need to make sure i train my dog well bc people assume pit bulls are bad dogs. She mentioned that she thought he was jumpy and i needed to work on that. he is actually super sweet and friendly, but being in a new place, poked and touched by all new people - he was def nervous and jumpy. When she mentioned it again I got turned off. She did her job well, medically speaking. I just thought it was a bit rude and not totally her business. (we have spent a ton of money on training, the last thing i wanted to hear was that someone thought my dog needed even more)

Definitely less expensive that Washington st. and much friendlier...

After getting ripped off yet again at the Animal Hospital on Washington, I finally tried the Infirmary after several recommendations. Everyone was very friendly, concerned about the well-being of my cat, and, perhaps best of all, no hidden charges, extra tests, etc... that always, always, always seem to appear on my bills at the Animal Hospital. The doctor was very professional, and took her time to explain the situation, the possibilities for treatment, costs, etc.... These people are great, from the receptionists to the vet-assistants to the vets. Highly recommended.
