Very skilled surgeons--very good calls in tight spots. They offer all options and let you make the decision, and never ever make you feel judged. Highly recommended. Not the least expensive folks around, but I keep going because I trust them. I've been going for probably 20+ years.
My family has used Village Vet for at least 20 years (probably closer to 25). They have diagnosed and treated some extremely rare conditions our dogs have encountered over the years (Rocky Mountain spotted fever anyone?) and are extremely diligent in their routine checkups. I wouldn't trust taking my pets to anyone, but Village Vet. I'm sure those who have had a bad situation occur with their pet feel better blaming the vet, but sometimes there's nothing you can do. These docs know what they're doing.
We've been bringing our dogs here for 15 years and have nothing but the highest praise for everyone here. From the reception desk to the techs and the doctors everyone is highly professional and very caring. Our dogs have always gotten the best care and excellent medical attention. Dr. Jennifer Pehrman is our favorite but everyone here is highly recommended.
I'd never go there again. They blinded one of my dogs and caused the death of another. They repeatedly lied to me about treatment options. Don't trust them!
I think the positive reviews of this vet must be from the employees. We've taken our dog here for skin irritation. We went 3 times over a years time and not much was done. The first time they explained it was probably an allergic reaction to something, so we changed his food (and recieved pain medication). A few months later it was progressively getting worse, so we went back and paid the 40$ for the office visit but they just prescribed another 100$ in pain medication. The third time my girlfriend took him and they did the same thing. Two weeks later we took him to bainfield and they ran blood, did a skin scraping and asked a bazillion questions to figure out what was wrong with him. They also gave him a steroid shot which seems to help his itching temporarily, and now we are waiting for a blood test to come back. They also found an ear infection which they said was extremely bad and irritated. I don't think this vet gives each dog enough time, they just sign you in, send you to a room, and look for a quick fix. Go somewhere that will spend time trying to figure out the problem with your animal, instead of looking for the quick fix
