I had a dog who died at home cremated there several years ago & all was well. Knowing that another dog was going to die soon, I called in advance to check on the hours and that they still accepted dogs that died at home & were brought in by owners. I was told yes, and she only mentioned the hours I needed to be there by. The day my dog died I called while en route to the crematory to say I was coming with my dog and would be there by 2pm. I was told that I needed to bring cash only or they wouldn't accept the dog & had to be there before 3 pm or they wouldn't take the dog that day. I was never told about the cash only policy & cost when I previously called, so with my dead dog in the car, I had to stop at the bank, which was horrible as I could hardly speak or function. Once I got to the facility the female at the desk was very business like and cold and the first thing she asked me was if I brought the cash. Never a word of sympathy knowing I just lost a dog I had for 15+ years since newborn. I know it's a business, but I should have been told with the 1st phone call of the cash only policy so I could have gone to the bank before my dog died & should have been treated with more respect. Needless to say, this is the last dog (I have other old ones) that I will be bringing there.
