I brought my dog in as an emergency. Her balance was completely off. I knew she didn't suffer a stroke, she was very energetic. But I just wanted to find out what was causing her balance problem. I was afraid that she was going to hurt herself. I suspected it to have something to do with her inner ear. maybe an infection or virus. i had mentioned it to the doctor. Her response was that the only why to find out would be to perform an MRI. Which would cost about $3700.00. I had mention that it was to costly. I kind of felt that I was being put on the spot! To make along story short. My dog has a condition that older dogs can get, that effects the inner ear. but yet sent home with some antibiotics just in case there was an inner ear infection. So pretty much my dog went home with what I suspected that she had. In humans, this would be called VERTIGO!!! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WOULD BE THAT IT WOULD NOT COST YOU $3700.00 TO FIND THAT OUT FROM YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!!
