Dr. Carlos is true to his heart. He truly Loves Animals, and in my 20 odd years of rescue and being an all around animal lover, I have never encountered a healer like him. I brought him a cat, at death's door, that I scooped up before a bad snow storm this January 4th, 2015. Long story short, he saved her life with the grace of a Saint. This man is the real deal. I'm his new, biggest fan. I want a Dr. Carlos T-Shirt! 💜👍😻🙏❗️ Good things come to those who wait...
Yes…the wait is long and yes there are a lot of people everyday, however the doctor was logical and concerned about the pet's condition. My 14 years old dog had a teeth infection and had to extract. He recommended that my dog should not get anesthesia because she is too old and may not wake up. He pulled out the teeth and gave me antibiotics. There was an option for blood work which was around $125, however they did not force it. I have never experienced a vet doctor like him. He was honest and was not there for greed for money and was caring…Other vets will put my dog through blood work, anesthesia and risk the chance of the dog not waking up. Mucho gracias, doctor! The front desk young lady was simpatico, accommodating, cute and worked for her money. Pleasant experience from a unexpected place…and yes, the doctor has prices that are much cost-competitive than other vets! Bravo! Mr. Kim
I took my pit in one day cuz I thought he swallowed a button with a sewing needle attached. Button would've been ok, but not the needle. Carlos took care of me a.s.a.p. no questions asked. The girls there are very sweet and attentive also. X-rays were taken, there was nothing there. everyone was like( by the way he's acting, he doesn't look like he has anything stuck). If I didn't say it enough times while I was there................. THANK YOU MR> TRIANA....TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can rate Carlos 10 stars, I would. He is the best vet/clinic I have ever been to. I know it's a long wait, but he's SO worth it
I been to this place several 20+ times in a period of years, every time I go when they open around 8. The Vet has always treated my animals great, staff is good not the best but highly efficient. I have taken to this Clinic 2 cats and 5 dogs (of different breeds) and every time they leave better and in no time are running about like new. Also Economically this animal clinic provides the best prices around.
This place would get negative 5 stars if I was allowed that option to rate it. People may not realize that this Vet "Clinic" also serves as the animal shelter for several Hudson County municipalities and kills A LOT of animals. Per the New Jersey Department of Health 2012 Animal Intake and Disposition Report, Summit Animal Clinic killed 41 or 35% of the dogs who had an outcome at this "shelter" in 2012. Additionally, they killed 202 cats or 56% of the cats who had an outcome at Summit Animal Clinic in 2012. These kill rates are more than 4 times higher than the nearby Liberty Humane Society (covering Jersey City and Hoboken). This place does not even have a web site, Petfinder or Facebook page to promote these animals. Additionally, when I went to visit the shelter during the hours it was supposed to be open on the sign posted outside the facility, I was told they would not be open until several hours later (after waiting on line for 15 minutes at the vet office). They would not even take me down to look at the animals when I was willing to save some of them. Frankly, I would NEVER go to any vet who takes money (animal control contracts pay shelters to to take these animals) to kill so many animals without making any real effort to find them good homes. Please keep in mind the place where you are taking your pet for vet care is also being used to kill so many other animals for money.
