NEVER take a pet here! My daughter took her cat here because we couldn't get into our regular vet, who is excellent (Sandia Vet Clinic). After a few tests, the vet told her that her cat was in kidney failure (the cat was 5 years old) and had to be put down immediately. Thankfully, she was able to see Dr. Conley at Sandia Clinic, who put her on an IV. Within a few days, the cat was fine. We've had her re-tested numerous times and the cat has never had a recurrence. To think: if we'd listened to the vet at this clinic, she would have put her cat to sleep! If anyone from the clinic posts a review saying this issue is resolved, don't believe them. It's not because we will never be back. We are telling everyone we know about this.
This is by far the WORST clinic I could ever imagine. Do not take your pet here unless you want a misdiagnosis, and poor treatment. My cat was misdiagnosed with renal failure and I almost put her down because of it, when in reality she was fine. My 5 year old cat suddenly declined and when I took her in to Dr. Sweeny he pulled labs and said that she had renal failure. Naturally this was a shock to me, but he walked in the door and heartlessly said, "So do you want to put her down today or tomorrow?" I even consulted the other vet at Juan Tabo, Dr. Mauna Schott, who also said there was nothing I could do. It scares me that I brought my cat in to be put down after these two vets poor advice, when I COULD save her and DID save her. It turns out she never had renal failure (Dr. Sweeny read her labs wrong), and she is just fine and healthy. Neither Dr. Sweeny or Dr. Schott at Juan Tabo never even bothered to double check the labs, or consider that it might be anything else that didn't require me to immediately put my cat down. This is appalling. I would never go here again or trust their advice because I almost killed my cat because of it. Not to mention, they lied to me repeatedly, and lied about calling me about this review (which they did not).
Thank you so much everyone at Juan Tabo. When we lost Lucy in 10 hours that horrible day, you got us in right away, the vet techs got on the ground to pet and make Lucy feel loved and comforted. She loved people and children. When I got the diagnosis I was shocked to hear that her type of anemia takes dogs very quickly and it did. Thank you again for taking such good care of all of us that day, it was helpful to know that my Lucy Love was being taken care of by the best.
They got the cat in the same day, took care of his enormously swollen ear and were so kind (even though he can be a little monster). They will certainly be my go to place.
