Awful!!!! All they want to do is sell you things. They are ridiculously expensive. They told us they would honor our free exam voucher and Thursday is 1/2 price shots. When we got to the register to pay they refused to honor the voucher and after arguing with them they finally did but they forced us to pay full price for the shots. Oh and its $25 for a nail trim ... PETCO is only $10. Never going back worst service ever!!!!

Extremely helpful and kind. I took in my parakeet who was having health issues and the staff were nothing but kind and helpful. They answered all my questions, reassured me and even called back over the course of the next few days to make sure that my pet was fine and to see if I had further questions. I'd recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone, really. They really helped my little buddy. :)

VCA West Mesa is a great facility. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My Veterinarian is Dr. Jamie Lenberg she is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what is best for my animals to keep them healthy. She truly cares and loves my animals!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

We received the wrong paperwork from Albuquerque Animal Shelter. The dog we adopted was 7 years old, not 7 months old as stated on the paperwork. Vet examined dog, said she was in in good health and might gain another pound or two since she was still growing. When we finally got the right paperwork we found the dog was 7 years old, not a puppy and has a 3/6 heart murmur. Two very significant findings the vet completely overlooked!

A year ago, I took my cat in because he had been sneezing and to check a spot on his chin. The vet proceeded to do what I would call a spinal manipulation of him, starting at the base of his skull. I could hear a few pops. She examined his chin and said it looked like melanoma and he would need surgery and a biopsy. This would cost about $1000.00 and if he didn't have it removed he would probably be dead in 6 months. I told her I needed to think about it. We went home and he started have muscle spasms. His head would jerk uncontrollably. I made an appointment with a different vet at a different clinic who put him on seizure medicine. When he examined his "melanoma", he was feeling of it, and it fell off. He did not think it was a melanoma. My cat was on seizure medicine for a month and then tapered off. It has now stopped. I firmly believe the spinal manipulation, cracking of his spine, caused his spasms. My cat has not undergone surgery to remove his "melanoma", which has since come and gone a few times, and he is still alive and well. Not only was the diagnoses and treatment bad, but her "bedside" manner was horrible. She was cold and unsympathetic. I will never return to VCA.
