I have been bringing my pets here for 13 years. They are a bit on the pricey side, but not much more than the other vet offices in the area. They are also more than willing to work with you about how much you can afford to properly take care of your pets. When I brought my dog in to be put down the staff was nothing less than caring and professional. They gave me all the time and comfort I needed. After the fact I recieved a card in the mail giving even more support. I would never advise anyone to go to another office in town.

Dr. Gary Ailes is the most accomadating, honest, and caring vet you can find. He did our pup's total hip replacement, did a beautiful job, has an amazing bedside manner, is a great guy and went far FAR beyond the call of duty (and for not a cent over what he quoted)!! If you want an incredible surgeon and true partner in managing your dog's health issue, don't think twice about seeing Gary Ailes! If I could give a higher rating than 5, I absolutely would-- he's the best of the best!

I live in Southern CA and come to the area often to visit family. A year ago my dog ended up with horrible gastroenteritis and I subsequently took her to Sierra. I was so impressed by the professionalism and care that my dog and I received. Dr. Schnieder was very hands-on and attentive, as was the staff. Since I lived in the area before, I was familiar with another vet hospital that rarely met my expectations on price and/or service. I was so thankful to have found Sierra and Dr. Schnieder. Upon another recent visit, my dog ulcerated her eye. I again took her to Sierra and Dr. Schnieder and received the same exemplary care I received before. Vet expenses where I live can reach astronomical proportions. It was a nice change of pace to see a reasonable bill that was in relation to the treatment received. I felt very much a part of deciding the course of treatment for my dog, and Dr. Schnieder always informed me of my options. I am happy to say that my dog has two vets - one in Southern California and Sierra Veterinary Hospital too!
