My dog Luna and I had an EXCELLENT experience here with Dr. Remsen! I live in Sacramento, CA and was referred here by my mother who said it was a great place to take your dog. And she was absolutely right! I made the 3 hour drive to specifically come here and am very glad that I did! Dr. Remsen and the entire staff were more than nice and friendly, and truly cared and never rushed. Luna had a tumor removed and Dr. Remsen took the time to explain the options, and took the extra time to fully explain the results. She truly cares, and it shows! That means the world to me, and I knew my Luna girl was in great hands. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT vet, I highly recommend coming here!

Dr. Laura Remsen is the BEST at communicating about my pets so that I understand what the treatments needs to be. She is very knowledgeable as well as her staff. They are courteous & understanding of the emotions that go with getting your pet treated.

Two years ago, we were about to put down our 8 ½ year old yellow lab. Not only did he have terrible arthritis in his elbow and hips, but was having severe neurological problems to the point where he couldn’t get up on his own, could barely walk, when he tried he dragged a front foot and inevitably fell on his face. My husband had to carry him outside and hold him up while he relieved himself. It was heartbreaking and Hunter was so depressed, just lying with his head down all day. Dr. Remsen had learned about the cold laser (didn’t have one yet) but strongly recommended we give it a try before putting Hunter down. We drove an hour and a half to have him treated and the results were astonishing. Hunter slowly began improving. We were thrilled that over the next year he was able to regain some strength, walk on his own and have some quality of life. Dr. Laura purchased her own laser and she treats Hunter every few months. After 3 treatments in November, and 3 more in December, Hunter is now able to play fetch (the jarring of it would have left him in terrible pain before) and he has begun running again!!! Not very fast at this point, but a comfortable lope after the ball. He’s regained his personality and enthusiastically enjoys life. Thank you Dr. Laura!!!

I have been taking my family pets to Dr Laura for as long as she has been at the Fernley center. We have been using this vet since the before the old Dr retired! The staff is exceptional. I only wish they had emergency services, too!

Dr Remsen was absolutely wonderful. I honestly thought when I took my dog Susie in that we would end up having to put her to sleep. She had a horrible infection in her mouth that just looked beyond repair. Dr Remsen was able to save her via surgery and tooth extractions. Now I have a happy healthy little dog with many years ahead of her. There are no words to explain how gratefully I am to her and her entire staff at the Animal Care Center of Fernley.
