I really enjoy Dr. Jones. He is very personal and will call you himself with information. We recently started going here for vaccinations. We ended up having an emergency with my puppy having an obstruction and they got us right into the doctor, they kept my puppy for the day, and the prices were very reasonable. I have complete faith in Dr. Jones in case surgery is actually needed. They are clean, helpful and I really like having the same Doctor every time.
I've taken my dog here for the past couple of years. Staff is always friendly and the Dr.Jones is very professional.
We've boarded our dogs here several times in the last year without experiencing any problems. The fees are very reasonable and the staff helpful and considerate of our pets.
Do not go to Parkway Springs Animal Hospital in Henderson. This is the most , unsanitary, incompetent, hypocritical, ignorant vet I have ever been to. I brought my 1yr old chihuahua in because he was throwing up and lethargic. Dr. Oliver came in with bl00d and other fluids on her scrubs. She said kennel cough was going around, and that if my pup didn't have it already, he would after coming there. She began the physical exam and immediately ( in a very patronizing and accusatory tone) asked me if I planned to get him fixed. He was neutered at 3 months old as it stated clearly on his medical chart I brought in. She was feeling the two glands on stomach. I was appalled at this lack of knowledge of basic canine anatomy. Anyway, he had a bit of eye discharge (he is a chi, this is not uncommon). This brought an immediate diagnosis of kennel cough. I explained that he had his kennel cough vaccine, and that he has never been boarded or around any dogs besides my other two. She said that the vaccines don't work. I mentioned that I had given him a Greenie the previous night, immediately preceding his illness. She told me how terrible Greenies are and not to give them to my dogs, even though they have a whole sales shelf in the lobby. I was quite aware of the many deaths caused by Greenies, hence my adamant concern. She checked his belly and said she felt nothing in there. I was sent home with antibiotics for kennel cough. Later that evening, he threw up a 3 inch undigested Greenie ( he is only 4 lbs, so I don't even know how he did it). His symptoms immediately resolved, leading to my second warning: NEVER EVER FEED GREENIES TO YOUR DOG! These were the new "reformulated easily digestible" ones too. It sat in his stomach for almost two days and looked untouched. I called the vet the next day to give her the real diagnosis, and was told to keep him on the medication even though he was now completely fine, which I didn't do as it was just unnecessary.
this vet clinic is filthy, the staff is unprofessional and rude, and they were unknowledgable. they should not be allowed to practice veterinary medicine
