I have been coming here for years and the service is outstanding. I have 3 large dogs and wouldn't let any vet other than Dr. Pflaum go near them. My German Shorthair recently had a cancer scare and was lethargic and not acting like himself at all. He's normally very hyper and can't get out of his own way. Dr Pflaum examined him, pinpointed that the cancer was in his spleen and recommended surgery immediately. I picked him up the very next day and it was like he never had anything wrong with him at all. I've had my dogs go through surgery before but I have never seen a recovery like this. Very highly recommended!!
I have been taking my dog here for over seven years. This clinic has provided annual shots, emergency care for a rattlesnake bite, surgery for a small growth, all the considerations that occur with an active, traveling with us pet. Both Dr. Pflaum and Dr. Katrina have been caring, professional, and realistic when examining my friend. She is now a senior dog - a large dog, and the advice has always been pertinent to her stages of life. I appreciate them. I appreciate that they are not part of a chain of clinics. I appreciate that when I ask questions, I get straight answers. I appreciate the fact that their recommendations appear to be in the best interests of my dog's welfare and the related costs are reasonable.
We have taken all of our pets to Horizon Vet Clinic since moving here in 2003. The staff is professional and courteous. They are all very caring to our pets. We have never had any issues and I would recommend their services to everyone.
Our little kitty was having some issues over the weekend. So we called and the office got us right in. Very impressed not only with the service but also with the professionalism of the entire office staff.
I have 3 cats, and have gone to this clinic several times only to get regular vaccinations. The last 2 times we've been to this clinic we have had Dr. Pflaum. Our first impression was bad, the Dr. peeked into our exam room and saw our cats, without even saying a word he said "Oh, cats." then closed the door. Didn't introduce himself, didn't say hello. He came back in with the vaccinations, and gave each cat theirs. During this whole process, you just got the feeling he doesn't like working with cats. He was very short, and didn't smile much or anything. I need to have my new kitty spayed, but I just don't feel like I want this particular vet to do the procedure. I do not like his attitude. Very unprofessional. He may be very capable of doing a spay/neuter, but needs to change his attitude.
