I don't usually review things on google, but last week I was searching for an emergency room to take my sick kitty to and I had to rely on these reviews. So I thought I would pay it forward and write one about my experience. I took my sick four year old cat to the office because he had been acting funny all day and I guess I didn't really take it seriously enough until after the close of business. I found myself at the Animal Emergency Center at about 11:00pm on a Tuesday night. The place was nearly empty and we were shown into a room straight away. I wasn't even finished filling out the forms when a vet tech came in and gave a quick exam and her opinion on a diagnosis - which was confirmed when the doctor came in a few minutes later. Dr. Farnsworth was the vet that night and he was really great - very calm, very informative and patient when I was asking lots of questions and visibly worrying about leaving my kitty there for treatment. My cat is fine now - he had to be transferred to our regular vet the next morning at 7am (which sucked after having been up quite late the night before). The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost - I mean, wow. Nearly two months rent! Yikes! When my cat was transferred to our regular vet, he had to have the same procedure repeated (which is normal) and he stayed there for 5 days and the cost was one quarter of what we paid at the emergency room. Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful that the place was there and they were able to get my sick boy on the road to health as soon as possible. And luckily, I have a savings fund for exactly this sort of emergency. But...quite expensive. Great service, but pricey. I guess you pay for the peace of mind knowing you can get your pet good care at 11pm on a Tuesday night. Also, Dr. Farnsworth even called the following day to check in and make sure my cat was doing ok and had been transferred to our regular vet easily. I thought that was nice. I really liked him - if it weren't so expensive, I would love to have him as the regular guy!

My dog jump and ripped her nail completely off, she was bleeding everywhere and limping in pain. Luckly my boyfriend and I found this place that happend to be 24hrs today (Sunday)! We came in and a very sweet woman answered the door and lead us into the exam room. The doctor was extremely nice, they were all gentle and they actually cared! We didn't know that we had to pay everything upfront, so make sure you know that before you go in. They can't treat them unless you have the full amount of money which can be hard. Other than that, this is the best place to take your animal. Five stars!

My husband and I had to take one of our babies there for much needed care. This emergency clinic is exceptional! Dr. Farnsworth, Michelle (nurse), and Karen (receptionist) were all ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, VERY KIND and CARING. In addition to taking great care of our baby, they were able to reduce our bill somewhat, whifch really helped. I have had to take two other kids there in the past and my kids were treated very well and always with great care. This facility is also very clean. In addition, the treatment rooms are decorated so nicely for your pets - puts a smile on your face even though you wish you didn't have to be there. I would highly recommend Animal Emergency Center of Las Vegas and Henderson.

I took my dog in Sat. night for vomiting, diahrea, bleeding from the rectum, lethargic and they had no idea what was wrong, said he probably had a stomach ache, gave him some shots and sent me home with 3 bottles of pills. Never knowing that he was having a acute pancreatic attack and needed emergency treatment. The doctor doted on himself that he has been a vet over 20 years but couldn't diagnose him. Until the next day when I had to take my poor dog half dead in, then the woman doctor said we better put an IV in him and do some tests. By then it was too late and he died yesterday afternoon. But for the fact, that he was sent home with all those symtoms he may have survived if they admitted him on Saturday. My dog didn't deserve this for $1,900.

Very caring. Call at any hour and they can tell you how your pet is doing. Dr. O'dea is especially kind. Would recommend them to everyone! Too bad they're only an emergency facility.:( Thumbs up all around.
