I moved to Vegas eight months ago. I have used the PetSmart hotel both Rainbow and N. 5th. several times and the Banfield Pet Hospital (Rainbow) due to it being convenient to the hotel. My dog is 11 years old and has been kenneled many times since being a puppy with no problems. I was impressed with the looks of the hotel on Rainbow and I kenneled him during a trip home and also scheduled a grooming. When I got back he seemed very depressed for several days. A week or so later I noticed him dragging his rear end around and I saw that his anal glands were swollen. I wondered if they could have been irritated when they express them during grooming but waited to see if they would get better on their own. Two weeks later I finally took him to Banfield and was given some salve and a $100+ bill. I've been fighting this issue now for several months and have kenneled him several more times since then. A month ago I took him out of the N 5th kennel and he had kennel cough for the next month hacking and coughing every five minutes. Off to Banfield where they hit me with another $120.00+ checked his anal glands again and got more salve. Just picked him up the other day from Rainbow and he spent three days laying in his bed unresponsive to just about anything. (This dog is normally wired up and happy) I've never seen a dog get so depressed like he does after coming home from a kennel. He is finally acting like his old self again and I've made the decision never to take him back to the hotel or the kennel ever again. Bad Karma going on there.

Don't like the nurses & the receptionist at the North Rainbow branch. I had a 1:15pm appointment & the doctor tended to us at 1:40pm. So the essence of having an appointment was useless. I will never bring my dog to this branch ever!

My husband took our puppy Larry to this location..he says he was treated with unbelievable respect that made him feel welcomed!! He met a lady named Cookie..she greeted him as soon as he entered the store..my husband felt comfortable with asking questions about our newborn puppy..Cookie was knowledgable enough to answer all questions!! By the time my husband left..he knew everything he needed to know about taking care of Larry!! Thank you to this locstions staff!!

I think these bad reviews for the Pet Hotel below are most likely written by competitors. My dog goes to Doggie Day Camp at least twice a week there for the last 2 years. The staff is amazing, very loving and genuinely enjoy their four legged guests. My dog is very sensitive and a bit dramtic so if they had ever even raised a voice to him, I would know it. He loves this place and is definitely loved in return.

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING TODAY 12/23/11. THE MOST AWESOME MANAGER GREETED US AS WE WALKED IN. HIS NAME IS DANIEL. WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT ANIMALS, BUT BY THE TIME WE LEFT PET SMART, THERE ISNT ANYTHING WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT RATS AND HAMPSTERS! OUR TWO BOYS WANTED TWO FANCY RATS, AND TWO RUSSIAN HAMPSTERS. WE LEFT SO HAPPY. I TRULEY FEEL LIKE AN ANIMAL LOVER NOW. I CANT WAIT TO TAKE MY KIDS!!!!
