This was a terrible and unfortunate experience. My little cat has an eye infection and is being given eye drops, well today she started throwing up excessively (on a Saturday night). This place (LV AEH) tried to charge me $815.00 for tests, blood work and X-rays. They did not try to zero in on the issue at all, but said I needed to do ALL the tests, for that price or nothing at all. I asked for just tests to see if it is an upper respiratory infection, and if not go from there, they again said it was all the tests or nothing. My cat is still very sick and they did nothing for her and charged me $175.00. They did not care that she was still sick. It is very sad and unfortunate. They do not care about the animal getting better, but rather the financial profit. I hope other pet owners do not get scammed by going to this place. There has to be a better place that DOES care about your pet. I will need to wait for my regular vet on Monday morning.

hi everyone, well my puppy all of a sudden got very sick. he eats just about everything he sees so i thought he ate something so waited a couple hours to see if he would get better but no he was getting worse. so i took him to the lvanimal emergency hospital because they were closer than others and open after hours. well when i seen dr vitale i told him what might be the problem. he then said well what we will do is test him for parvo do to the fact that if he ate something surgery would cost way to much solets check for parvo 1st.he then said ok il send the nurse in so she can tell you the price for the test. now i was getting kinda upset and worried why didnt he jus tell me.so his assistant comes in gives me the cost, leaves the room while i get my money together so they can test my sick puppy. then the dr vital comes back to tell me my dog has parvo. he then tells me i need to leave him there because 80% of times dogs wont make it at home. he then tells me his assistant will be in with the cost. she comes in says the price inwhich i only had like $270 dollars on me n im not rich so i new i cant afford to leave my pup there in which was well over a $1000. so then i had to pay for the visit n they leave the room and come back with what theyneed to do next. the doc tells me a couple morethings about how serious parvo is n again his assistant comes back with the new bill which was over $270 which now i dont have that becuz i jus paid them150 for visit and a shot. i have no more money now and the new bill for my pups treatment was way more than i had.so anyways i told them how much i had left so they leave the room and come back with 1 treatment for the amount of cash i had. anyways long story short, they did not prescribe my pup nothin . he did not get the treatment he needed, justtold me to get him to a vet if its not to them. and i had to leave heartbroken and broke with no advice from the doc or prescription but to leave my pup there which like i said i cant afford..so now im out $270.00 and still sick puppy withno meds, and he didnt even feel symphatetic for me.talk about caring for animals. WoW i do not recommend this place to anyone and they jus really want ur money and can care less about your pet. its sad but true. you might get better results watching youtube than spending your money there if you really cant afford it. because i am n thats what i had to result to. jus wish i hadnt gone there, maybe someother vet woulda been better. this place truly does not care, just about the money!!!

I brought my dog here with a broken leg the bone was sticking out so a child could of told you what was wrong with her! The "Dr." comes in after they took her in the back and says sir your dogs leg is broken!!!! Really I told you that when I came in! $85!!! She then says they don't know if it needs surgery or just a splint so they will need x-rays but they will put prices together first. $600 and that was with the splint and x-rays on there! If she needs a splint why does she need the X-rays when you know that! They were trying to add stuff they know she didn't need! I never felt like I was being taken advantage of so badly before! the worst part is after the pills and the $85 to tell me what I told them before I ever came in I don't have the money to get my dog the care she needs! THIS PLACE WILL TAKE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE IF YOU LET THEM AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL ONLY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot express enough thanks to the doctor and technicians that helped me and my family in a great time of need. I had to bring my cat, that is truly a member of our whole family and has been for many years, to the emergency hospital since our regular vet was closed after hours. After much deliberation we decided to put our Nicky to sleep, the staff was absolutely wonderful to us. They gave him some pain management until our other family members could come and say goodbye, it was a very difficult decision and very emotional for us, and everyone there treated us with the utmost kindness and understanding and above all else COMPASSION. It is so nice to see in this day and age that there is still people out there that working in a profession such as this can still have compassion, I don't see how they can do this day in and day out, it takes a very very special person to do something as difficult as this and still care.

I had an unexpected emergency over Labor Day weekend with my dog Rex... I took him to the Las Vegas Animal Emergency Hospital. The Doctor and the entitre staff were AMAZING!!! The doctor explained things in basic/easy to understand terms (Which was refreshing) The staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable while I was waiting on test results, by offering to make me coffee, and giving my daughter hot chocolate, and a big comfy blanket and coloring books. Thank you for making my visit a pleasant one! By the way Rex is back to his old playful self.
