WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I intially brought my dog to this clinic to get a check up after we took her in. We wanted to make sure she had all of her shots and that she would be healthy. At the initial consultation they gave her all the shots she needed and recommened we have her spayed. We didn't know if she was spayed or not, (we took her in from people who we weren't close to, they were leaving the country & in the excitement of giving her a home we failed to ask), but the veterinarian said that she could check. After all was said & done they gave us the breakdown in costs, everything was going to be around $300-$500, but that we could break it down by signing up for their version of health insurance for pets. We took the cheapest & paid around $40 bucks a month. We dropped off our dog and mid-surgery they call us to tell us "YOUR DOG DOESN'T HAVE A UTERUS. SHE WAS ALREADY SPAYED." So in other words THEY OPENED UP MY POOR DOG FOR NO REASON. I asked them well you are the veterinarians, how did you not know??? Is she okay? They said well the scar was so faint, but at least she got an internal check up & that she was ok. I told them I hope we don't have to pay for this, but in the end I ended up pay for the whole thing through the insurance we had been suckered into. We didn't even get an apology. We went back, but only because vaccinations & check ups were in the insurance and we might as well use at least part of what we were paying for. The contract has since expired & we get our vaccinations cheaper from a foundation based clinic.

hospital was good with the care they provided, however the price at which they charged for the actual service they provided was absurd! I took my dog to a different vet (not banfield) for the exact same thing and they provided the EXACT same service as banfield and banfield charged me DOUBLE (not an exageration) that of the other vet. HIGHLY OVER PRICED!!!!

Wait time: We had an appointment for 3 PM. We left the clinic at 7:15 PM. The doctor spent exactly 5 minutes diagnosing our pet. Unacceptable for an appointment, not a walk-in. Doctor: The Vet spent less than 5 minutes diagnosing and did not listen to any of our concerns. Then she left and the nurse returned with incorrect prescription instructions and medication that would have harmed our pet had we give it to him. We got a 2nd opinion the next day to confirm our medical research from a neighborhood vet and they were shocked at the poor choice of medication. Manager: At the time of our visit there was no Manager at this location. The new manager has not lived up to promises of a refund made when we returned the medication that was prescribed incorrectly. District office: The district office reviewed the case and decided that the Vet only has the ability to prescribe the medication that Banfield has IN STOCK and that this was the best medication for our pet. THAT IS POSSIBLY THE MOST ASSANINE STATEMENT I HAVE EVER HEARD FROM SOMEONE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD WHERE YOU TRUST THEM WITH YOU OR YOUR PET'S LIFE. The medication they prescribed would have been a long term medication given once a day and required liver and kidney screenings and cost us $45 in prescription per month. The local vet we went to after, prescribed the proper medication for our pet which cost $8 at walmart and is taken only as needed with no long term effects AS WE REQUESTED INITIALLY. I cannot stress how immature and unprofessional the experience at Banfield was. All I asked for was a simple refund for the unused prescription and they have turned this into a nightmare. Stay away from this company if you want the best for your pet and not just the overpriced meds they have in the back room.

Because as every other reviewer as said, the treatment quality is poor - and that's at best! People become Vets because they care about animals, not because of the money in it. From my ONE time dealing with them (due to the fact that the doctor was so cold and rude), I'd never take a pet there of any sort. The guy was a jerk. Definitely not meant to be a vet. If you love your pets, don't take them to Banfield.

I use to love coming here with my dogs, I been coming since 4 years ago but when the new Dr's started working there they are rude and mean to me and my dogs don't bring tour pets here
