I had visited this clinic a few weeks ago during a lunch break, as I was looking for a new local location to bring my wonderful animals. This animal hospital is a disgrace to the veterinary field. I was told to check out this clinic for my animals from a family friend because it was “cheap,” and I was new to the area. I wanted to check out the facility before actually bringing my dogs along. My dogs are my children and I want the care for them that I would have for myself. Isn’t that what we all want? Well he was right about one thing, cheap it is. The minute you enter the door, the place smells disgusting! It's like the employees don't even properly clean. I have taken my animals to multiple clinics and never have I experienced one so poor. There is no way any form of disinfectant or professional sanitary measures are taken. There is one employee with short dark hair who I came across sitting at the front of the building. She is utterly unprofessional and gave me nothing but wrong information on multiple of my questions, I had asked purposely already knowing the answers to, just to see what my dogs would be exposed to. The other ones had just sat in the pharmacy not even greeting me or caring any mind that I had come in for help in an area that I did not understand. That is what a hospital was meant to be for. Such idiotic and uneducated people should not be allowed to work in an environment where lives are at risk! One humble employee, after hearing my frustration with her coworkers attitude and wrong information, came out and was extremely helpful in giving me the information I wanted to hear. She even took it upon herself to explain the consequences of exposure to illnesses such as heartworm, flea/ticks, proper grooming, etc. She had stated she was studying to be a veterinarian and it was obvious she attended class. Now, I had just missed the doctor because he “was out at lunch” when I had asked, but the recent story a family member told me was atrocious, which is why I must warn all. He had gone to pick up medication for his dog, nothing new, same as he has been doing. His dog started acting not like themselves after a few days. What he had realized was that the medication was improperly directed and the dosage he was giving was incorrect. He had overheard one employee mumble that the label was placed inaccurate. This doctor is clearly oblivious himself for allowing such a mistake to pass by. Does he not check medication before it is dispensed? Does he care SO LITTLE about the animals he treats, that he does not take a few minutes aside to check the medication his employees are making up before allowing it to fall into the hands of an innocent companion! DO NOT go to this hospital, and if you are referred RUN. If you love your dearing pets as much as I do, then do just as I did. Turn around and go back out the door you came from. I have never been so disturbed by a practice in my entire life.

I've been taking my cats and dogs to Dr. Jun for about five years. They have always received intelligent assessments and excellent care from Dr. Jun and his staff. It gives me great peace of mind to know that when I take my pet to the vet, he or she will be seen by the same doctor every time, and that that continuity results in better health for my pets.

I have been taking my cat to the Orangetown Animal Hospital for about 10 years. My cat was about 4 when I moved to the area 10 years ago. The doctor and staff seemed nice, it was easy to get an appointment, so I stuck with them. Last month, my cat's front tooth was loose and he was in pain. I took him right over to Dr. Jun and he said that he would have to sedate my cat to pull the tooth and take x-rays. I stayed with my cat during the procedure. Dr. Jun took the x-rays, pulled the tooth, and said that in about one minute, he would come right out of the sedation. After about 2 minutes, my cat was not "coming out of it". Dr. Jun ans the assistant started CPR on my cat, as they say he had a heart attack. Dr. Jun then said, "I'm sorry!". I was shocked and hysterical and asked how could this could have happened! He claimed that sometimes cats that age can't handle the sedation. I was not informed of the risks. The vet also stated that they didn't take a blood test on him prior to sedating him. I asked why, and the assistant stated, "The blood tests are over $200." I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO MAKE THAT DECISION...NOT Dr. Jun! He cut corners and screwed up! I was devastated. His only saving grace was that he did not have the audacity to send me a bill and gave me a box to take my poor cat home to bury.

Dr Jun and his staff are absolutely wonderful. The care our dogs get is completely first class and very matter of fact. Our Dog Butta can't wait to get inside when we pull in to the driveway- The newest addition to our family had some issues after being spayed by the shelter we fostered her for...Dr Jun and his staff took us right in...and her recovery is 100x better now. :) Honestly if you are looking for a no nonsense vet who really loves animals I highly recommend The Orangetown Animal Hospital
