The people who work at the front desk are INCREDIBLY rude every time my wife or I go there. It's actually amazing, because rarely does a business do anything this consistently... Today I wanted to buy more heartguard for my dog. Well, after being spoken to as if I was really disturbing them and being told to wait, because none of the 3 receptionists who weren't helping any other customers, could help me (forget being greeted when you walk in) I was told they didn't sell heartguard. I asked where I could get some and was told that a doctor could write me a prescription and I could then order it online myself. I agreed to this and asked for a prescription and was told that I couldn't expect that on the spot and they would call me when it was ready. I was assured that I would be called that day...Apparently no doctor had the 5 seconds required to scribble on a prescription pad today. We're finding a new vet!

The care for all three of my pets (dogs and cats) has been nothing other than superb. All questions answered, kindness extended not only to our pets but also to my husband and me. Animal handlers/ vet assistance have been respectful, gentle and kind with our pets. Receptionists at the front office are nothing but professional and courteous even when on the phone making an appointment. Doctors always return calls in a timely fashion and call with follow-ups when unexpected. Pet care is expensive but my experience is that they are fairly priced in comparison to other veterinarians. The office is clean, pleasant and well lit. Waiting time is reasonably short and that's that!

When I brought my stray to this animal hospital, he was losing all his teeth. The vet there had to remove them all and take care of gum issues. I'm happy to say I chose the right place to get this kind of surgery for my cat. I can't think of a better place in Brooklyn.

The first time I brought my puppy here I had a female doctor, she had absolutely no bedside manners and the people at the front desk were rude. When I asked the doctor a few questions she did not give adequate answers, she talked her way around my questions and gave explanations to things I did not ask about. She also was horrible at doing the scrape test and left my puppy a scar. Given this is my first dog I'm sure I'm a little sensitive to him being in pain, but after doing some research I found that she did it incorrectly. My second visit was not nearly as horrifying of an experience, they were actually nice but I will say that they really overcharge, and going by how long I was there for and the amount they charged for the visit on top of the shot my puppy got; they charge $50 for 5 minutes of their time. I highly recommend not coming here and instead going to the vet at Petsmart, they have a much better deal and I've been told they are great on top of it. I've already spent $400 on my puppy here when he hasn't gotten all of his shots and you can pay half as much at Petsmart for a whole year's worth of medical attention.

Animal Kind is incredible, an absolute gem. I brought my cat Sissy here several times for various reasons, from check-ups to worries about asthma, and the vets and techs have always been patient, understanding, and thorough. I never feel like I've been rushed, no matter how small my concerns. When Sissy got sick for the last time, Dr. Gibson did absolutely everything that he could to figure out what was wrong with her and then keep her comfortable, and when it was time to make the very difficult decision to put her to sleep, he talked me through the entire procedure and was even willing to consult with my mother, an out-of-state vet, on the best course of action. He even sent a hand-written card sharing his condolences, which is so far above and beyond anything I would have expected. When I'm ready to open my heart to another animal, I know that the only place I'll go is Animal Kind.
