I have been going to Northside for over a year now for my 2 adult cats and 10 kittens. They really care about the welfare of your pets and do all they can to make them feel better. The prices are very reasonable too. One of my kittens, Spiderman, had a breathing problem for over 2 months since birth and they suspected there was a benign growth in his head that was blocking his air passage. They were able to remove it in a quick procedure and he's a completely different cat now, active, healthy and happy. I'm so grateful to them because I thought I was going to lose him.
I've been taking my dog here for 2 years. Dr. Eisner is caring and knowledgeable and never tries to get us to buy products or services we don't need. The staff at the front desk is always courteous and organized. A couple of times when my dog was not feeling well, I was able to get same day appointments. I would recommend Dr. Eisner and Northside Veterinary to any pet owner new to the area. It is clear that they truly care about the welfare of your pets.
Just visited Northside for the first time. I'm new in Williamsburg and Nemo (my Pug), just started having some really bad stomach problems and hurt his eye too. After a little bit of a wait before my appointment, my concerns were put to rest. The nurses and doctors were extremely attentive and caring and it really seemed like Nemo was their one and only concern for the entire time I was there. They were very comprehensive in their prescribed treatments and really took the time to make sure everything was addressed and that I understood what I needed to do. I can't think of anything they could have done better.
They engage in a form of bait and switch. You make an appointment with Dr. Lehman and you end up with his wife Dr. Eisner. This happened a little more than a year ago and I was upset because I specified that I wanted Lehman who was recommended by a friend. Afterward, I was assured it would never happen again. Fast forward to today, I was told I could bring my cat in "because of a 1:30 cancellation" - this was a last second appointment so I rush my cat into the office only to find I had to wait @ an hour. The office manager lied on 3 separate occasions related to scheduling, and sure enough, Dr. Eisner wanted to take over. This time I stood my ground and insisted on seeing Dr. Lehman. They agreed to "allow" that but bumped (2nd time) me for a "scheduled" appointment - (I thought I WAS filling a scheduled appointment!!?). At this point, they were calling me a "fill-in". So now they have bumped me twice and tried pulling the switcheroo twice. So I'm standing in one of the treatment rooms with my cat and Missy the office manager tells me I can no longer be in the treatment room - that I have to put my cat back in his carrier and go back to the waiting room! Needless to say, I will never be back and would recommend to stay as far away from that place as possible. Afterward I spoke with a neighbor who had similar problems and found a great vet named Orlando. I will be going there.
I inquired for a house-call vet and they have a doctor there, Dr. Daniel Leiman, who does house-calls ... he turned downa a house call to see my dog because apparently I have a tough dog?! ... and he hasn't even met my dog and what is he basing this on? ... he kept blabbing about how he loves animals and he can't help them if he gets hurt?! wtf is this doctor on! ... You can turn down the house call request but to hastily do it based on no substantial reason is ridiculous and to blab about how you love animals?! yeah ... that's showing a lot of love right there Dr. Lieman ... And further more ... he then suggests I bring him in the clinic?! ... DUH?!?! are you stupid Dr.? ... that's why I'm calling for a house call coz I don't want to bring him to the clinic because the dog gets scared and anxious when he's brought to the clinic ... but he's not tough and out to get you -wtf?! where'd you get that? ... Dr. Lieman, I will give you a million dollars if this dog comes to even biting you if you do a house visit ... you turned down the house call which is such an insult to my pet and I ... and YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY!!! is the worst part! ... I called you in 5 seconds you just said your dog is tough and I have to turn you down and that was it! ... you haven't even met the dog! I hope when you get sick and go to the doctor, I hope the doctor attending to you, 5 seconds into your conversation, says ... 'you're a tough case I have to turn you down'
