We have been going to paws and claws for over 4 years. We like all the doctors. Some say the Bergman brothers have poor bedside manners, I see how people can say that, they can come off a little harsh, but they are great vets. Put your feelings aside for a minute and know that you are in great hands with either brothers. The staff at the front desks are all awesome and always try to help when they can. They are reasonably priced and don't try to make you do unnecessary tests. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the neighborhood!
I have always had great experiences at Paws and Claws Hospital. There are always appointments available when I call, usually the next day, and I have never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes maximum for my appointment. When I come for my pet's visit, the vets I have seen have been efficient, professional, and always willing to discuss all treatment options and costs. The office is never too busy and the vet techs and assistants are helpful as well. I am particularly fond of Dr. Pingle at Paws and Claws. It would be great if Paws and Claws could make an arrangement with a local parking facility to have discounted parking, as parking in the neighborhood can sometimes be difficult, but this is an amenity few businesses have anywhere in the city.
Although I have never really needed Paws and Claws beyond basic vaccinations and use of their kennel facilities, my experiences here have alwasy been positive. It is always clean and quiet, so I feel ok about leaving my cat there if necessary. Their "resident" cat seems happy, and that is a good enough indication for me. My cat did have a wound infection once, which they took care of promptly. I was given a prescription, instructions, and easy advice to follow. Note - my cat is a large, doughy 20-lb lady and they manage to get her to cooperate:)
I like this place. They've always taken good care of my Ike, and he can be a handful. We've usually been seen by Dr. Anjali Pingle and she is great at this stuff. They're a bit pricey but that's life in Brooklyn these days. The office is always clean, calm, and easy to get taken care of. Can't really ask for more than that.
I've been going to Paws and Claws in Williamsburg with my (now) 10 month old puppy since he was 10 weeks old. I've never had a bad experience with any of the vets and the facility is gorgeous. Our pup has had numerous vaccinations and was neutered here at six months. It is a bit pricey (they charge a $55 exam fee on top of whatever procedure/vaccinations you want done every time), but this is New York and this facility is wonderful. You get what you pay for! The only issue I've had that makes this 4 instead of 5 stars is they often mix up amounts owed on your bill so make sure you ask for an itemized receipt before paying. 2 or 3 times they quoted me higher than what I actually owed so just be responsible and ask questions before you pay.
