My dog honestly didn't make it. It's a terrible way to start off a review like this but that is what happened. He became sick and I brought him to my Vet in Bay ridge. When the problem became too much for their facilities this was where they suggested I bring my dog. What happened to my Dog could not be fixed though, it was genetic. It was a long process that in most places would have been grueling and dehumanizing. At Verge though it was still long (Nothing stops that) but it was kind and considerate. They helped me in every way possible, they care. I had one doctor who was familiar with my case whom I saw multiple times whom I could reach when I needed. I would recommend them to anyone. They never rushed me, they never pushed a procedure onto me, they only gave me options. When it happened though it was comfortable, it was intimate, it was the best it could have been. I suggest them to everyone I know.
My 8 year old labrador was suddenly paralyzed and our terrific vet, Dr. Moorehead of AnimalKind referred us here She needed an MRI and evaluation. I have had experience in the past with other ER centers and was overwhelmed by the superior level of care provided at VERG. Dr. Sessums, the neurosurgeon performed exceptional surgery, was a terrifically dedicated communicator - and our almost 9 year old is walking again. All of the staff were very attentive, caring and what I noticed intently - they treated everyone this way. I've never had an experience like this including human care. Thanks to the terrific ER Doctors, our surgeon, veterinary technicians and nurses and staff - we are all home again and getting stronger.
I had very sick kittens and our vet was closed the day they fell ill. As soon as we walked in they had a tech do a quick visual assessment and they whisked them away to start taking care of them. The techs and vet (Silverman) spent plenty of time talking with me about what was going on with them and the treatment options and answered all of my questions.
The best Drs. and a committed, caring staff. They are the only reason our boy Thunder is alive and happy today. Worth every penny in an emergency situation. Upon reading the other reviews I can't help but notice that ALL the negative reviews are anonymous "Google Users" while most of the positive reviews are from actual people not 'bots or spammers.
Brought my dog here when he broke his leg. One of the worst feeling and experiences in my life. However bringing him here to be taking care of, and had surgery performed on, was with great relief. They were so nice and helpful and caring. Almost to much, they wanted to keep my dog cause he is so cute. Really great doctors and amazing staff.
