While we have seen a few vets here over the months, everyone has been excellent, kind and caring. They have taken excellent care of my dog, which was refreshing after being ripped off by some other Brooklyn vets who didn't seem to care at all. I strongly recommend this place for it's professionalism and it's heart. Thank you all so much
I go to Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group with my sister whenever she needs to take her cat in. They are really nice doctors and a well run practice. It's calm when we visit. There is an office cat that just roams about. Not shy at all. This vet is a little pricey (It is in DUMBO after all...) but worth it given the care they provide your furry loved ones. My sister has never complained about them and that's good enough for me.
I had a wonderful experience here. I was able to make an appointment quickly for my sick cat, and when I arrived earlier than the appointment, they were able to accomodate us quickly. The vet and staff seemed to care as much about my cat as I do, even answering my barrage of questions (I am a worrier!). The pricing was affordable, and they offered different options in the treatment of my little buddy. Normally, after a visit to the vet, I am shunned for the next day or two from my cat, but he really didn't seem phased at all when we got home. I am sorry we are moving away, because I don't think my cat would mind coming back here for his checkups at all!
I am and will be forever grateful to Dr. Neuman and my Parrot " BooBie" literally owes her life to Dr. Neuman. Although I believe in the saying you get what you pay for, I found the prices to be reasonable. When I first brought Boobie in, it was an emergency and I told Dr. Neuman I didn't care what it cost just save my bird. She could have taken advantage of my distress but she didn't, she didn't over charge me or take advantage in any way The added years of companionship we still share with Boobie is priceless, no amount of money is worth losing someone or something you love. For those who haven't noticed, everything has went up, Whether it is Gas or Milk, even water is up over 100% the past few years, I can't imagine what the Vet office must pay in rent and utilities but somehow they must be paid. I don't blame the Vet, I blame the system in place. On the other hand, the things I feel are important are like ... she saved my Parrot, she is VERY knowledgeable, her and the staff are professional, it is a very friendly and warm environment, I was able to visit my sick parrot everyday and they always took time out of their busy day, I rest assured that her love of animals are such that she would never turn down an animal and allow it to die because a person doesn't have enough money, something I witnessed with another Vet in Park Slope. That too is something you can not put a price tag on, the Dr's genuine compassion for animals. I truly believe the money is secondary for her, but people act like she doesn't have to also survive, she can't do everything for free or at a lost. That is not the American way :-) So stop whining about the cost and thank God you can afford to pay it, there are people with nothing who can not afford to have their pets treated and must watch them die. Thank God Dr, Neuman is there for us and not only support her endeavor to provide top quality care at a reasonable cost but wish her success including financial success and rewards from her hard labor, a labor of love in which she also knows what she is doing and will not stand and watch an animal suffer or die because someone is too poor to pay. The bottom line shouldn't be money but who would you entrust the life of your precious companion pets to. I know mines are in Good hands at Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for Boobie and Boobies family including going above and beyond anything I have ever seen at a Vet office. I know animals, I wanted to be a Veterinarian or a Zoologist and have studied animals extensively. Believe me Dr. Neuman's knowledge is impressive and if anyone wants the best for their pet, I would recommend that you go there. I rate them 100 on a scale of 1 to 10.
They have taken excellent care of my two chihuahuas. They are knowledgeable and relaxed. It's always so easy to set up an appointment and the appointments run smoothly. I don't see them being any more expensive than other vets in the city, but that's just my take on it.
