Was told dog had strange mass in stomach needed exploratory surgery. Nothing was found in the stomach but strangely enough it was discovered he had carcinoma in the throat.. So the doctor decided to go ahead and proceed to have the surgery to remove the cancer mass in the throat without notifying us first. Our dog was young and healthy and he was a third-generation dog who had no symptoms of this cancer. Days after the surgery a huge knot appeared on my dogs neck. It was never present before. So when we took him for his post visit the Dr. informed us that the cancer had come back twice the size and our only choices were to make him comfortable,medicate him and watch him die or let them put him down and immediately gave us the invoice for killing him.

In seven months time, numerous things can change with an ear infection or any type of infection, and medications may need to be changed, which would need to be assessed at an office visit by the veterinarian. We strongly believe that it this is what is in your pet's best interest which is why it is our policy. It is also the policy at most other veterinary and human medical offices for that reason. We do our best to keep our costs as low as possible, but as you know, prices increase over time with inflation and when our prices for products or overhead raise we can only insulate our clients for so long before we too have to raise prices. I have been so happy with the care that they offer. I have a rescued dog with various health and behavior issues and they have been nothing but amazing with us. I've brought my rabbit to City Creatures twice to see Dr. Albert. Today, I didn't even sit in the waiting room, I went directly from sign in to an exam room. Dr. Albert is amazing, his confidence and personality put you right at ease, you can tell this isn't just a job to him. Definitely recommend.

First appt at the office, and I was greeted by the staff with all smiles. The first thing they wanted wasn't my credit card, or my check, but to play with "that cutie"(aka My dog). After getting her paperwork straight, and weighed in, Dr. Allen saw her. Let me know a bunch of stuff not obvious to me, such as past injuries, and the need for surgery and pain meds for my dog. I wasn't bugged to get her on the expensive HeartGard, once I told them I use Ivermectin on my ratties. In fact, they offered to help me dose it if needed. They also let me know my options with the surgery for my dog. Great place to bring your animals. Everyone working there is just as caring as the staff at the SPCA where I adopted from. I highly reccommend them as vets for your furballs.
