Dr. Jiao and his team are wonderful, everyone is efficient and helpful. He is an amazing vet, quite knowledgable and professional. He got me through a scary episode when our shihpoo and maltese had a bug that caused lethargy, diarrhea and bloody vomit. I called his emergency number in tears, he explained possible scenarios right away, which really calmed me down and he immediately called my pharmacy so I can pick up medicine for the dogs asap. He may have very well saved their lives, I'm so grateful we treated it early and with his kind of urgency. He was kind enough to follow-up on them too, he's that compassionate and involved. I was taking our pets to a different vet before but all the other pet parents in the neighborhood were raving about Dr. Jiao, I'm glad I listened to them. Their office's grooming service is awesome and affordable too. Thanks, Dr, Jiao and Team!
I can't described how happy and relieved I feel to have FINALLY found a talented and caring vet. My maltese started limping and he was able to diagnose her, suggest the best course of treatment and really show that he is knowledgeable, not just out to get to drain the pockets of the pet owners who are worried sick about our little babies, because that's what they are and we love them so much :-) Just an example, I was giving my pet Heartguard for 5 years, half a dozen different vets told me it must be taken monthly to be effective. Dr Jiao has told me that it should only be taken in the summer, it is useless in the winter and actually the dogs develop immunity to it so its less effective and I believe might effect their liver (not sure about the last part, don't quote me on that:) Another example - my pet had an issue with digestion/stomach/lack of appetite this past winter. I took her to the vet near my house multiple times, all in all they charged me over $1000 without any clear diagnosis and after a few weeks she started eating, not sure if the treatment was any help or just the infection was out of her system. Dr Jiao mentioned that last winter many dogs had these infections. Why didn't my vet know it or mention it or diagnose it? In any case, I hope and pray that my baby gets better and hope that Dr Jiao continues to take great care in looking after our babies' health.
Dr Jaio is a wonderful, kind, caring Vet and the office staff is appropriately professional and accommodating especially in emergency situations. I took my aged cat to the office on an urgent basis when she suddenly stopped eating/ drinking. The staff understood it was clearly not going to be a good outcome and offered to let me see Dr. Jaio immediately. I was not made to wait under a very painful situation. Unfortunately it was my cat's time to pass and Dr. Jaio and all his staff were extremely compassionate and sympathetic. The end of life process was dignified and humane which helped my family through a very painful circumstance.
My cat started to make a gagging sound and I thought maybe he was biting on my shoelaces. When I went to look for him I noticed he was foaming and crying so I freaked out thinking he couldn't breathe. In the panic I started to google hospitals near yonkers but all I got was an answer machines then Dr. Jiaos voicemail offered an emergency number. I called it but realized it wasn't a hospital but another voicemail. At this time I've gone from nervous to scared. Dr. Jiao called back and was able to assist me over the phone. He was honest enough to tell me to that the symptoms my cat were having was possibly from him eating a bug and it didn't seem necessary for me to go to the hospital to get hit with a $1500 bill. Honest man and a true humanitarian. 2 things that are rare in the healthcare business. Thank you soooo much From me and my hairless cat Fabian. :)
Great doctor and animal hospital. Dr Jiao is a true stand up guy with a noble heart. We adopted a cat who turned out to have a virus from the shelter. Dr Jiao diagnosed the problem and gave us the appropriate medications. We had to follow up twice but eventually our cat got better with little cost to us. A++
