In general, the treatment, care and diagnosis was efficient, friendly and reasonable. What concerned me though is the cost of the medication prescribed. I asked if it was necessary and was further encouraged to take these although my dog's diagnosis an "achy back" was 6 days on the mend. The cost of the meds was not revealed until check out when I again questioned the necessity. Thinking, if anything I would take the NSAID (Metacam 1.5mg/ml) 10 ml of liquid in a pill bottle ($30) and 5 muscle relaxants ($14) I left after paying the $175 bill. Later, I called to ask if I could return these since I wasn't going to use them. Taking the unnecessary medicine may put my small dog at risk for side effects. I was given the standard "no" and we too, would have to throw them out. After explaining their loss before markup wasn't anything compared to mine they insisted I could not return the medication and it was too late. My donation to Brighton-Eggert was $45, I wonder if it's tax deductible: LOL!

My cats receive great medical care here. Staff is friendly, thorough, they listen and ask questions, are gentle and kind to my cats. The office is clean and bright, the service is excellent, and they have adoptable cats from a wonderful, local no-kill rescue shelter. Have been bringing my cats here for many years. Would highly recommend.”

We switched to Brighton-Eggert for our dog, Sammy about two years ago. I am extremely satisfied with the care Sammy gets at this clinic. In an emergency situation, they have made time to see him and have been very supportive and understanding. On any visits, they take the time to thoroughly explain everything: pros and cons, costs, what Sammy will experience, and what to expect from his treatment. All the staff, from the first person we see when we walk in to the technicians and veterinarians, are always friendly and welcoming to us and to Sammy. I don't ever feel rushed or pushed in a particular direction. My experience is that they care about Sammy and understand that he is not "just a dog" - he's an important member of our family. I have nothing but superlatives for the people at Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic. Thanks, my friends!
