I have two cats and dogs that are all seen at Camden Animal Clinic and I have had nothing but a great experiences there for the past 5 years that I have been a client. The staff is very friendly and takes time to explain everything to me so I really understand what my pet had done and what I need to do for follow up care. I am very busy at my job and can barely remember where my keys are most days, so the reminder post cards that they send to me every month that reminds me when my pets' preventatives and vaccinations are due are a fantastic help. The clinic is middle of the ground when it comes to their prices (they're not the most expensive by far, but not the cheapest either) I strongly feel that you get what you pay for and Veterinary care is no exception! I wouldn't want someone with the cheapest prices taking care of my pet. There are places where going cheap is okay (like the grocery store) but not when it comes to by babies' care. Dr.Jones is always willing to help me figure out what is most important for my pet while still staying within my financial budget. As far as what the other review stated about the ear thermometer not being cleaned I have seen on every occasion that I've taken my pet in, the assistant in the room clean the thermometer and replace the cover on the end when she "resets" the room for the next appointment. Geeze o' petey other than the hair my pets leave on them I have never seen the assistants have fur from other pets on their scrubs when they hold my pet. I love Cameden Animal Clinic and would never go anywhere else! :)

If a good vet was just about caring & personality it would've been fine. Here's the facts: Took my cat for routine checkup, pd for exp bloodwork which required them to shave her neck, and opted for rabies & distemper vaccines. So a few days later my cat gets very ill. I bring her back in & she's treated w/antibiotics which does the trick. So obvi it's bacterial. But I begin to wonder from where?? She was fine before her visit, she doesn't go outside, and I don't have any other pets... So the followup visit for vaccine booster a week later & I'm reluctant because of what I'm thinking... I decide to take her so this time he chks her over & looks in her ears with the light directly off the wall w/o cleaning it & with no protective covering. Then places it back on the wall again w/o cleaning it. Then takes her temp w/ear thermometer again w/o cleaning it & old protective cover & places it back on the table!! Now guess what my cat is scratching her ears & very likely has mites! So aggravated!! Now I firmly believe that her bacterial infection came from this office. If they stick unclean things in her ears very likely they don't clean the razor they shaved her with. Never going back here again & the prices in comp to other vets in the area are very high.
