Everyone at North Fork Animal Clinic is excellent. There is usually no wait time at all. The staff and the doctor are all very good at what they do. I would highly recommend North Fork Animal Clinic to anyone with pets.

The doctor always answers all of my questions and explained all of my dog's conditions. They are always good about staying in contact with me. Everyone at North Fork Animal Clinic is very nice. They remodeled the facility and now it is great and more spacious. I love it there.

Just because you are the largest veterinary clinic in the county, does not give you the right to over charge people. I have been a customer of theirs for at least 8 years and have faithfully taken every animal to them for their care. This will no longer be happening. My 11 year old lab had a hematoma on her ear which needed repaired. I was told that surgery would be necessary and that the cost would be $500 not including her medication. This was it without consultation or evaluation of my dog's condition. I then take her to a vet that is highly recommended in town and I am told that the cost of surgery, that is not necessary, is only $95. My elderly dog contracted kennel cough from staying in the boarding kennels and due to staff not telling me that it takes two to three weeks for kennel cough vaccinations to take effect. They simply instructed me to bring her in and they would give her the vaccination the day she was being boarded. I was then forced to pay over $20 for a medication that could have been avoided. When my other dog needed an ACL replacement, instead of referring me to a vet in town who could have done the surgery for $1,500, they referred me to Med Vet in Columbus telling me that they were the only vet that would be able to perform the surgery and it cost me double. The absolute last straw was when I called in to ask for a refill on steroids that my dog is taking due to unknown allergies. I was told that I would have to come in to have her re-evaluated in order to refill her medication. Her last visit was 4 months ago and I explained that nothing in her environment has changed. She simply needs the medication that helps her to feel better and not be miserable every second she's awake. They understand her situation because they have been treating her for years for this problem and yet they still want me to bring her in for a $45 exam to have the vet barely touch her, explain to me that she has an unknown allergy, spend less than 3 minutes in the room, and then hand me the bottle of prednisone that I've been asking for as I walk out the door and pay the $80 bill. I am tired of feeling like this practice only cares about money first and pets second. They treat people differently, giving payment plans to those they pick and choose.The customer service is absolutely atrocious, the veterinarians are rude and condescending and they only seem interested in pushing off expensive products, tests and procedures off on you. They use your love for your pets against you in order to make their money. I would not recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone unless it was an absolute life and death emergency. But, be warned, you will pay for absolutely everything and then some when using this veterinarian. Your animal may be put through unnecessary pain and discomfort due to them wanting to make an extra dime.

I love taking my puppies here because my puppies love going as well! They aren't afraid to go to the vet. I absolutely plan to continue taking my fur babies here.

Don't ever take your dogs here! We boarded our dogs there for several days and he's been very, very sick for the last 2 days.
