This vet was unarguably the worst place I have ever had to take an animal too. As I write this, my cat is staying at this facility, due to his own urgent needs (much to my displeasure.) Upon entering, the energy in the place is very cold and sad. The secretary appeared to have no compassion for animals. She asked for my cat's name and I moved his carrier to face her and she didn't so much as smile or LOOK. I waited three hours in the waiting room (which is common as emergencies are put first) but when we were finally called, they took my cat back and I was not allowed to go. They did not tell me that was the last I would see him for the whole night, a woman just whisked him away. They didn't greet the animals or show any care for each individual one. When we were called back, we were left for even longer. When the male vet came in, he was immediately arrogant to us. We had been transferred from The Animal Hospital of Fairview Park (an extremely kind and loving employees are found here) and they had received his records. The vet talked to us like we were idiots because whatever our usual vet had written and recorded didn't register to him and he literally asked us "soooo... what do you want me to do ??" He had no ideas or clear recommendations for my cat's problems. I was given no reassurance of my cat's well-being , he seemed to only have doubt where my regular vet was confident. When he left, he sent in the male nurse for the estimate pricing ( a cowardly move) and we agreed to the amount and were told to go to the front for a deposit. Upon learning that the minimum deposit was $200, we immediately knew we would not be affording that. We had been transferred (this is how they advertise, as being a place to go after a regular vet) and yet they did not comprehend that we had just spend over $600 in other vet bills. The secretary and male nurse immediately looked down on us when we offered $20 deposit. She said "Oh, I thought you were joking." The statement was absolutely cringe-worthy and held lots of attitude. No one was there to care or show concern when me and my mom were in tears at the front desk asking "Do you just want us to take him home and get no care?" She was absolutely flustered by this situation, as if they had never dealt with financial issues in the past. (which would be surprising because they charged $40 for giving our cat medicine that WE provided for them & would take less than one minute to do.) They were continually rude to us about the money and the male nurse told me that he "isn't trying to be rude" when in fact, he was being very rude and obviously uncomfortable with people who can't pay up immediately. My grandma had to be contacted over the phone to pay the bill because they would not let us do anything until we paid. The only advice they gave us was to apply for a credit system through them. This place is an utter embarrassment in customer service and if it were up to me, the cat and money would be elsewhere. The only advantage they have is their hours and dire situations of their patients who have no other options. I hope that their medical skills are 100 times better than their social skills. It is almost laughable for me to read these other reviews, as to me, these employees were only there for the money and had no natural passion for pets. If you are a really involved and emotional pet owner, do not take your pet here. I am very picky about the environment that my cat will be in, especially spending the night and having people give him medicine. I do not feel comfortable with him being here. I am a worrier but I hope for the best.

This animal clinic is Horrible!!!!! Cold uncaring rude male vet tech (don't worry I paid that extra 50 cents you were so worried about as my dog laid dying!) and cold female vet. I have had to take pets there before and had good experiences with the male vet even with bad outcomes but this last time was horrible! I will never go back. I will go to West Park Animal Hospital and be treated with kindness and compassion. I brought my 18 month old dog Lenny for treatment and I honestly think because he was a blue nose XL pit bull they were afraid or just figured it was one less pit bull in the world. Lenny was the most loving and funniest dog I ever had. He was beautiful kind and so loving. Our home has lost so much love and laughter with his passing. If your afraid or just don't care about animals and people you shouldn't be in that profession. For the people I dealt with I'm sure they work only for the money. I only went back to this hell hole because it was closest to my house and I was afraid for Lenny. I never write reviews but if I can save someone else the heartache my family is feeling now it will be time well spent.

I had a very sick pooch and I showed up at 11:30pm. The staff was excellent as with the service. DVM Wayne Turner took great care of our dog and spent a lot of his time explaining things to us and trying to diagnose. He treated our dog as if he was his own child. I would not hesitate to go back to this clinic.

I'll never go to another vets office again. The vet was so nice and explained everything so simply. I'm just glad everything went so well.
