Very wonderful place to take your pets. The staff are nothing but caring and loving towards all my pets. As for your review Jon James, you are an idiot. Most vets don't allow you to carry a balance at all so the fact that your friends had a $145 balance was decent enough of them already. If you can't afford to pay for your pets medical needs then maybe you shouldn't have pets at all. And as far as suing them. That's complete bullshit. I'm sure if they wanted to they could sue you for slander based on your hateful ignorant review.

Dr. Max Van Buren and the Fairfield Animal Hospital were highly recommended to us by long-time dog owners when we brought our Golden Doodle puppy home from his breeder. As first-time pet owners, we relied heavily on our more experienced friends and they have never steered us wrong. From the beginning, Dr. Max and his staff have been supportive of our efforts to provide high-quality care for Bacchus. They have always been willing and able to answer any questions and we appreciate that they maintain good relations with other pet providers in the surrounding community. Yes, there is a monetary cost attached to caring for our pet and it is not cheap, but what healthcare service is today? To lose Bacchus for any reason would leave us truly heartbroken...to lose a beloved pet over a $145 vet bill would leave us heartbroken and understandably frustrated; but given our personal experience with Fairfield Animal Hospital, we find it difficult to believe that the earlier negative post tells the whole story. Between food, toys, treats, shots, training, kenneling, daycare, and other less expected expenses, the on-going and potential costs associated with caring for a pet are something to be acknowledged and committed to prior to bringing an animal into one's home. To obtain a DVM, vets spend a great deal of time and money on education and like many other professions, it never ends...continuing education and required accreditation renewals ensure that vets, like medical doctors, lawyers, educators, and many others...maintain their knowledge base and remain current with progress in their field. In addition, facilities like Fairfield Animal Hospital are a business. Employees, rent, suppliers, and taxes must be paid. In order to remain solvent, they must be reimbursed for the products and services they provide.

Dr. VanBuren came very highly recommended to us many years ago. We have between 3-5 dogs at all times. We have been taking all of our pets to the Fairfield Animal Hospital for years now and have found Dr. VanBuren and his entire staff to be excellent, knowledgeable and we wouldn't know what to do without them. They are compassionate and always know the right treatment for my dogs. We love Fairfield Animal Hospital and would highly recommend them to anyone. We travel with our pets all the way from Pittsburgh and would not consider going anywhere else. I read a review rating them poor to fair and as I was reading it I couldn't help but think that this person is so wrong and so angry and so bitter and such a "not so nice person". Don't believe his rambling on and on story as factual. He is an emotional guy taking his anger out on the wrong folks. Dr VanBuren and his staff couldn't be any more professional and caring - they are all WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is a joke and should be shut down. First of all they treat your animal so badly I can't believe this place is still open and I wish I would have never sent my poor baby to these animal abusers. PLEASE AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. DR. VanBuren should be locked up for animal cruelty as well as the scum he has working for him! Someone very close to me also took their dog to them and was treated for having bad kidneys and put on a vet perscribed food for her condition. All was fine till they had to go back and get more food which is way overpriced btw, but they refused to sell the food to her because she owed them alittle bit of money. I think it was $145. She had promised to pay a little here a little there to get the bill down but these jerkoffs refused. They wanted it paid in full. Meanwhile they are killing her dog because she cannot get the food her dog needs. She tried to find a vet that could get her the food immediately but no luck. So my friend lost a very close member of her family this morning over $145. They are seeking legal action against Fairfield Animal Hospital and Dr. Van Buren for negligence. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE IF YOU HAVE AN ANIMAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IT WOULD BENEFIT YOU TO CHANGE VETS. THESE PEOPLE ONLY CARE ABOUT ONE THING AND THATS MONEY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO USE THIS JOKE OF A VET GOOD LUCK YOUR PET IS AS GOOD AS DEAD!
