I decided to try out this place since it was down the road, and since I got my pup at Petland it had a good recommendation. The first few visits were just for shots, and to get him fixed and the doctors were great. However, when he began itching and his skin was reddish they didn't take the time to figure out if anything was wrong, they just said that nothing was wrong and sent us on our way with a few pills "just in case." I felt rushed and as if they didn't care about my pup, or my concerns for him. I found another vet since his itching didn't subside and it turns out that he has a skin infection, and that there is in fact something wrong. Although this place is right down the street, I refuse to come back. I would rather drive the distance to go to a vet who will take the time to find out what is wrong and listen to the concerns I may have.
I have been a long time client and never really happy. That is until I met Dr. Gus. I took my 12 year old dog in for an unusual growth on his face to Dr. Brown. Without looking she said, "he needs surgery". She handled my dog with no regard as she whisked him away to draw blood before I could protest. The bill with teeth cleaning , pathology, etc. was quoted over $750.00, without even examining my little guy's face. I agreed to surgery and returned with a request not to have Dr. Brown, but, who did we get??? Dr. Brown. I requested another vet and landed Dr. Gus. He was incredible. Great with his knowledge, great with my dog, and really patient and understanding with me. BTW, the little mass on my dog's face was considered a kind of common canine wart. My dog has beautiful choppers and is wart free. Everyone should experience Dr. Gus if a vet is needed from little issues to large ones.
Worst accommodation ever I bought a puppy in July and she came with a non expiration coupon for a free exam and not even a year later there saying I can't use it. that's b.s. nobody should take there dog or cat to people whom don't honor their owe coupon.
Totally incompetent staff and doctor. They have a contract with Petland. It's a racket. Beware.
I love Bethel Animal Hospital. We were first introduced to them when we purchased two kittens from Petland in 2001. Our kittens were sick and Petland partnered with Bethel Animal Hospital and we didn't pay anything until they were healthy. We have found a puppy in 2002 and began taking her there. We now have another puppy and have started taking her there as well. Even though there are much closer vets to where I live I continue to take our animals there because they accept walk-in appointments. Our schedules are crazy and it is very convenient for us.
