This was my second trip to Capital City. The older of my 2 dogs was neutered there last year. This year I had my younger dog neutered. He did fine. When I took my older dog there to have his yearly shots, they informed me that he doesn't like his hindend touched, as they discovered when he was fixed there, so they were going to give him his yearly shots between the shoulder blades. I was completely ok with that as that is where all of my dogs had been given their shots in the past. However, I was told since he was having his shots this way that they would be putting a blanket over his face. They attempted that once, and my dog startled, jumped and yelped. They did it a second time and my dog started prancing around wide eyed, growling and yelping.... he was furious. They then tried to muzzle him which angered him all the more. I was asked to leave the room because sometimes when the owner leaves the dog will settle down. I stood outside of the door and heard my dog barking angrily, jumping around and bumping into things. When he was brought out to me, I was asked to remove the second leash that they had put on him directly around his neck, not attached to the collar he had on, which he allowed me to do without any issue. I was then informed that he needed to go to behavioral and socialization classes. My dog has never shown an aggressive bone in his body until this incident. My grandkids try to ride him, smack him, jump on him and he has NEVER retailliated. He has always been friendly in the past. He goes to dog parks on a routine basis and plays and romps with the other animals without any issues. He has had shots all along without so much as a yelp or bark. My sincere hope is he is not scarred for life because he will need to go to vets again in the future... BUT DEFINITLEY NOT HERE!!!

We've been taking our dog here for 6 years and we like them so much we continue to make them our vet even though we live in grove city. The office is nice and comfortable, staff is friendly, and Dr. Murphy is great with our dog and very informative. Doesn't hurt that their prices are very low.

The staff is great with my dog who can be pretty rambunctious. We take him there for yearly check up, shots, and more often for nail trim and anal gland expressions. They are always great to work with and answer all of my questions.

Am always pleased with their excellent service, cleanliness, and great prices! When it came time to get my golden retriever spayed my full service vet wanted $700 to spay her!! Spay Neuter Clinic it was only $ 70 INCLUDING pain medication! What a steal! We have since then returned for all of her vaccinations and have continued to save substantial amounts than what our vet charges. As soon as we pull into the parking lot, Chloe (my golden retriever) goes nuts wanting to get inside to see the staff! They are always VERY kind and loving giving my dog lots of love and affection not to mention TREATS! :-) I would recommend this office to ANYONE looking for a kind vet and to save money!

Whoever they have answering the phones needs to be put into another position where they are not interacting with the public. All we wanted was a quote on neutering our 9 mo. old Cairn Terrier. Instead we got a broken record of a spiel on heart worm testing (which I informed the lady that we had done just two days ago at our regular vet). She wouldn't listen, but continued on ad nauseum with her soapbox lecture on heart worm testing. We couldn't even schedule our dog in because it was like she was insisting that we buy the test through them even though I told her we had it done at our regular vet. So she kept on and on about the heart worm testing and never gave us a chance to schedule our dog in for a neutering. Bad business not listening to customers.
