My dog, Duncan, has been very happy there. He knows and loves everyone on the staff, and he's received the best and kindest of care from the veterinarians when he was very ill and with his allergies. They treat him like he is one of their own. Everyone knows his name, and he loves going to daycare and tries to make me take him EVERY morning even those when he's not going -- no matter how many times he tries to pull me out the door by my arm! We love Village Gate.
I have been bringing my dog (Quentin) and cat (Nala) to Village Gate for about 2-3 years and have only walked out happy. A little earlier this year Quentin had an elective surgey the Dr. Caudy performed. Just like any other pet owner I was worried about my boy, but knew he would be fine in Dr. Caudy's hands! He stayed over a couple nights due to the recorvery process. Although they offered for me to go visit Quentin I had to decline due to his seperation anxiety. Once I took Quentin home both Dr. Caudy and Dr. Couling were very patient with my non stop questions and concerns. Each time I brought him back to check the incision both doctors were very knowledgeable and informative. They clearly care about each pet like he/she is their own!
I have been bringing my dog, Charlie, to see Dr. Caudy for about two years. Recently, Charlie had an accident where his hip popped out of his socket. Of course I panicked and took him right to the vet. Dr. Caudy was very thorough and caring about my poor Charles. The staff took and x-rays and Dr. Caudy was able to place his hip back in place! He was such a little champion and is doing fantastic now! I am so thrilled that Dr. Caudy was able to put my little man back together. I would recommend VGAH to anyone for their healthy or sick pets!
After our recent trip to VGAH I felt the need to write a review. Our cat must have been having a bad day when he went in for his annual checkup. He started off hissing and growling and then went after Dr. C (which he has never done in the past). She kept her composure and after many attempts was finally able to get a hold of him and do her exam and give him his shots. While I have never seen my cat act like that before it felt and looked like she was treating my cat as if he was her own. She even called later that day to make sure he had calmed down and was doing better. She has always treated our pets with love and respect. It was never more evident when we had to put our beloved dog down because of cancer and she cried along with us, this is why we have been going to her for approximately 10 years and will continue.
I work with a rescue that uses Village Gate, and have since brought my girl in for Doggy Day Care and treatment. They are all knowledgeable and friendly. Sophera drags me out of the car whenever we come, that right there says it all!
