I just moved to Stow from western KY, and I was looking for a decent vet from whom to get advice regarding my diabetic cat. I called nearly every vet around just getting a feel for the price, and this was one of the more reasonable places to go. I just got back from my visit with Dr. Ryan Gates, and he was absolutely wonderful! I had a million questions for him, and he was very patient with me, good with Chong, and extremely friendly. I never felt as though he talked down to me or pushed any certain products at me. It was one of the best experiences with a vet I've ever had. Also, the clinic was very clean and not cluttered or crowded, and the staff was super friendly. This place was great!

If I could give this less than one star I would. I would also guess that the people who gave this place a good rating has never had a pet emergency, or just has money to blow. When I made the appointment I was confident that this place would be great, the girls at the reception counter are friendly and courteous. They even let us come in earlier than they open because we try to avoid other dogs. The first morning we came we were ushered into a small room with our very anxious dog where we explained that we were new to town and that it was hard for us to get to our old vet. We have a dog that has special needs and we wanted a vet that could understand that while she can be a handful, she is a sweet heart and we do the very best we can for her. From the first moment to the last, the vet was patronizing, didn't listen to a word we said, and kept pushing expensive medications she just doesn't need. (She gets a routine steroid shot that works very well for her, but he kept pushing some new, very expensive drug.) He was visibly annoyed that our dog had the audacity to bark in his presence. He also insisted that in the future we were going to have to think about other options that were not her routine steroid. When it came down to what we really needed to mention (her leg) he insisted that we do x-rays, even though we had suggested that her limp she has was not because of pain, she never yelped, but he wanted to be sure. After thinking it over, we called and asked him to give us an estimate and he called back and said that it would "AT MOST" be $375... That was to bring her in, sedate her, get three x-rays, and give her up to date vaccinations... That Friday I brought her in and waited the day to come pick her up... when I got there I was told that the bill was nearly $500 ... and when I questioned him about it he said "well I gave her a heart worm test.... So this man, gave my dog a test without consulting us before hand... and when I protested the charge asked why he didn't include this in his original estimate he had no answer for me, just that it was routine to check for heart worm when sedating a dog. Fast forward to this morning when I went in to get the x-rays to get a second opinion. They told me that it would be a $20 deposit because they needed them back. Where I learned that even though we spent $500 on three pictures to tell us something we already knew, we didn't own them, and therefore had to pay them to borrow them. If you don't have money to burn, prefer to be spoken to like an adult, and want a vet that is going to be transparent about expensive costs, then do not visit this vet clinic. Waste of time.

Our family is new to Cuyahoga Falls and recently switched to this clinic. We were immediately impressed with the caring veterinarian who took care of our dog. We would highly recommend this clinic.

I thought I had good service here with routine check ups until my cat was diagnosed with dental disease while at an annual check up. I did what any person would do and asked for a price. I was quoted a price, with the understanding the price could go up if a tooth needed to be extracted. Two weeks later, I called to make the appointment and the price had gone up $20. I asked how the quote had increased in two weeks time, and the Vet could not answer me. Instead, he starts by saying there was a miscommunication and then has the audacity to tell me if I am worried about an additional $20 that maybe I should not get the procedure done. That is just down right rude, and no matter how much money I have or do not have, will not spend a dime more at this establishment.

I moved to Stow one year ago and this was the 3rd clinic I'd been to (not including Pet Guards). I was very impressed by how fast things get done at this clinic and really want to return because of it. My kitten's blood test results came back the same day!!! At Stow-Kent I had to wait almost a week, and then the doctor didn't even call me. I had another test done and they said the results would take "a few days," but guess what, I had the result the next day! However, the prices absolutely take my breath away. $700 to find out my kitten had pneumonia and needed an antibiotic!!! (This after many different tests, xrays, an overnight stay, an IV and fluids.) This clinic and Stow-Kent are very very expensive. Every time I go to Wyoga Vet Clinic, they tell me the price and I give a sigh of relief. But, this vet is cleaner and more efficient.
