I took my dog to the 'Clinic' after 2 trips this year to the Animal Hospital of Fairview Park--(see my review for them). Short story is my dog started peeing in the house this year which she never does. Both times the 'Hospital' said it was a bladder/UTI problem and my dog went on antibiotics. When I asked if there was something we could do to prevent this, I was told these things just happen, which didn't really sound right to me. The third time that our dog started peeing in the house, I went to the Fairview Animal Clinic with Dr. Larry Scott. I really like the small office feel and the personal attention you get. I talked to Dr. Scott in an office type setting to tell him what had been going on. HE did the urinalysis and told me there was no sign of bacteria/infection. HE checked her for kidney stones, I'm guessing, as he felt around her belly area. And then he told me about an estrogen deficiency that some female spayed dogs have, which causes muscles to loosen and therefore loss of control of urine. I had done some research before on this and all signs pointed to this, so I was pleased that we were in agreement on this. HE got her prescription right away of some estrogen that she took for 2 1/2 days. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks so far and we haven't had a problem yet. I have to say again that the small office and personal attention really means a lot after going to a bigger establishment, where they are so busy they don't have time to return calls for a urinalysis report. I would recommend Dr. Scott as a vet to anyone who needs one.
