The staff was friendly and the doctors were ok, but they constantly tried to up-sell you to the most expensive products, and tried to make you feel guilty when you didn't. I could put up with that but the nail in the coffin was when I looked into canceling their "Optimum Wellness Plan"(it costs more than it saves). They told us when we signed up for it that we could cancel at any time after the first year. We tried to cancel at about a year and a half and they claimed that we would have to pay for our last visit in full for the services tendered(even though the competency exam was supposed to come free with the plan, and the only other thing they did was shots) which was $400. This was also after waiting for 20 minutes on hold just to find out I couldn't cancel the plan. I think I'm staying with family vets from now on.

I had a good experience at this Banfield in Massillon. My husband and I got a free puppy and I brought him straight to Banfield before we even brought him home, because I wanted to make sure the puppy was healthy before I exposed it to my dog of 4 years. The puppy had had fleas and we went all out cleaning him up before we took him. I was feeling very stressed about the flea situation, and introducing a new puppy to my current dog. I messed up and booked my appointment at the Banfield in North Canton by mistake, and I showed up at this one in Massillon. The staff were all very nice and were able to take me in anyways. It turned out that the puppy had a really bad case of round worm and tapeworm. I was very stressed and upset, and the staff were very understanding and reassuring. Dr. Tannuzzo was very nice and explained everything to me very well, and set up a good treatment plan for the puppy's worm and flea problems. I did have to spend a little extra money for the tapeworm treatment and some flea medication, but I felt it necessary for the health of the puppy and my family. All in all I found everyone there to be very nice, helpful and caring.

Dr. Tannuzzo is bad news! I needed to find a vet for my dog, and I liked how this place offered the "Optimum Wellness Plan" (without it they have very high prices for everything, no small service will go uncharged). When I first started going there we had a female veterinarian who I liked a lot. Unfortunately, after the first couple of times we never got her again, we only had Dr. Tannuzzo. This man is very unfriendly, and if he is ever friendly, you can tell immediately that it is an act only to get your money. The second he realizes you aren't going to spend $20 on a dose of Benadryl you can get for under a dollar at the store (same exact stuff), he stops bothering to be nice to you.

I thought that since this vet center was located in PetSmart that there were some good people on staff. I was wrong. This is a business and the only concern is how much you will pay for services, and not the care of your pet. My experience was so bad that I won't even shop at the store anymore. Take your animal to a REAL veterinarian.
