Dr Prothman was wonderful with our cat. We found him as a stray when he was a kitten and we brought him in for his first shots and check up. He was terrified Dr prothman calmed him down and even took blood and gave shots without our cat ever even noticing that he had pricked them. the only thing our cat noticed was when he shaved his leg. He let him run around the exam room and sniff everything while he talked to us. That put us at ease because he took the time to listen to our concerns . And it put our cat at ease because he was comfortable with his surroundings.

After many years of dog ownership and many veterinary clinicians, Dr. Prothman is, hands down, the best veterinarian I have ever encountered. I have had no negative experiences to share and explanation of the positive experiences would require much more room and time than I have available here. Dr. Prothman is a phenomenal DVM with a professional, compassionate, and highly competent staff.

Dr. Prothman did our family right when the lab lost our dogs blood work he refunded the money to us and took more blood at no cost. He had apologized many times for the loss of the blood at the OSU lab. Not only did he do us right but when I took our dog into the office he was very scared, Dr. Prothman got down to our dog and gave him attention to try and settle him a little bit. It is the compassion in the small town vet you actually get to see towards the animals that you don't get to see in the big city vet clinics.
