I am extremely impressed with Good Shepherd. They took extra good care of us. This is a place that you can feel comfortable knowing that they are not just after your money by doing a bunch of tests you don't need. They have morals and great bed side manner. I recommend this place to anyone in need of a good vet you can trust.

I have a dog. And that dog needed to be spayed. So I took her to see Dr. Long at Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital and he spayed her right up. Where I failed was by ignorantly letting her jump up into the car after the procedure causing her incision to bleed on the way home. So we high tailed it back to Dr. Long and he got all fixed up (again). Even had her stay overnight so they could observe her to make sure there were no other complications which made me feel good and confident that she wouldn't have to suffer another ignorant mistake from me (for at least one night). The next day I got her back good as new and we were on our way. Great experience all around (except for my ignorance).

The doctors and staff at Good Shepherd are excellent. Our male Chihuahua (Milo) was incredibly sick with Parvo and they not only detected the virus quickly, but in my opinion saved his life. Because of the severity of his condition, Milo needed to stay several days in their hospital. The doctor and staff both took the time to update us regularly on his progress and what we could expect his prognosis to be. I am happy to say, that Milo is his happy (healthy weight) self and is as energetic as he should be. Thank you Good Sheppard. P.S. Their prices are fair and we will continue to use them for all our pets healthcare needs.

You won't find a better vet around than Dr. Long. SUPER caring and compassionate and willing to take the time to explain things to you so you understand. Absolute top notch staff too! Never seen staff so interested in the life of my dog before. They pour on the love when our girl is in the office. We've boarded with them too and we always get her back just as happy as when we left her. Was even told by one of the staff members that they took turns crawling into her crate and cuddling her. We've done everything from standard checkups to spaying and dental work - all of it was done with the utmost care. Dr. Long's office is a good 50 minute drive away from our new home and we still gladly make the trip down. Prices are completely reasonable and the quality of care is better than anywhere else. As long as he's in business, he'll be our vet!

Our family has been going to Dr. Long for years, even when he was out in the Bixby area. I have been to several other vets in Stillwater, Tulsa, and Bartlesville after moving around a bit and Dr. Long is the best. I have taken my dogs there even though where I live it is about an 1 1/2 hour road trip! Their facilities are immaculate, and the staff is so nice.
