We had moved to Edmond and needed to locate a new vet for our Yorkie. I am not sure how she felt about a new vet, as she had seen the same vet all of her life; however, it was a traumatic move for my husband and me. A friend highly recommended Acre View to us, and on the very first visit we were made to feel so welcome, and at home, we knew we made a good selection. We have now been seeing them for several years. Anytime we have taken our little Yorkie to Acre View, she has been treated as though she were the only pet there. Doctors’ Ross and Barger, and the staff have gone over and above to take care of her health and medical needs, to include a serious accident, aided in finding and selecting the proper foods and victims for her, and in her grooming and boarding needs. The office is nice and the cost is reasonable. Our pet is a member of our family and we want the very best for her. I cannot say enough “good” about Acre View Pet Hospital and the "TLC" one receives there, and I as my friend did for me, I can highly recommend them for all pet needs.
I have been going to Acre View Pet Hospital for years. They are the kindest and most caring people I know. They are so professional and treat your pet like it is one of their own. More than once they saved my babies life. I have recommended them to all my friends and whenever someone asks if I know a good vet I always hand them their card. I carry several with me. I would and have trusted them with my babies lives. I know they will give them the care they need. I've gone to several of their open houses and have found the whole hosptial to be clean and the animals to be well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my dogs in their care.Thank you Dr. Barger and Dr. Ross for being there for me.
We took our precious little girl to Acre View simply because she was so very sick and we thought it would be cruel to make her ride all the way to our regular vet. It was one of the biggest mistakes we have made. Her true symptons which were GI were totally ignored. Elaine the vet thought she heard a heart murmur and thats all she honed in on. Ignored the fact that xrays and blood work totally rulled out heart issues. Gave me a false hope that she was going to get better and had me tortoring my poor baby for 2 days shoving heart pills down her throat. Scammed us saying we needed to put her on the outrageously expensive k/d cainine food that she most likely gets kick backs on. Two days later when when our little girl was only worse and had a terrible day we decided we needed to just take her to our faithful vet that we had gone to since she was a puppy. Immediately he saw that her heart was totally fine with no murmur whatsoever and found a lymphoma that "Elaine" totally missed. The lump was so big my husband and I can't possibly figure out how she missed it. Our baby girl suffered for 2 more days because of her blaitent oversight. Just because her own pet had been recently diagnosed with heart failure doesn't mean every pet that comes to her should be treated for heart disease. We wish we would have never taken our sweet baby girl in to that office that day. Who knows what the outcome would have been if we had not.
We recently moved to Oklahoma from Colorado and were hesitant to try a new vet since the one we had been going to for so long was very thorough and excellent. Before Acre View, we tried another vet which we did not like for multiple reasons. So we were really nervous to try another one. Acre View was able to see my 5 year old dog on very short notice (same day) for a possible hip/back injury and pain. The staff knew how concerned I was and was able to squeeze her in, even as a new patient. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and really took the time to listen (as I explained all the possible things that were wrong). They were interested in her past medical records and reactions to drugs/vaccines (something the other vet did not care about), her health, and well being. Our dog is extremely scared and has high anxiety and they took extra care to make her feel comfortable. It says it all when your dog leaves a vet happy, and the last vet we went to she was unhappy after. I also talked to some people in the waiting area who had been going to the vet for 10 years and really liked them. Based on my first visit I would definitely return and will bring my other dog next time.
