Do not go here! Two days ago my dog had been kicked in the pelvis by a neighbors horse. His back leg was basically rubber, and we rushed him to the first emergency pet hospital we found. BIG MISTAKE. The attendants were basically desensitized and very unprofessional when we walked in the door. About 30 minutes after arriving we were able to take Harley home with a $350 bill for them to give him a shot, an uneducated x-ray (the tech basically said the area was inflamed and couldn't make a judgment), and a bottle of pills. Their conclusion was that he was just inflamed from the incident and needed the swelling to go down. We loaded him back in the back seat of the truck so he could lay down across and rest. As we pulled up to the gas station 2 blocks away from the hospital he started gasping for breaths... 2 minutes later he started seizures with his mouth (making a sort of teeth grinning action) that I now conclude were his nerves reacting after he had already died. But we weren't 100% sure of this yet. So we rushed back to the hospital, the doctor came outside with a stethoscope and said she didn't hear a heartbeat. My mothers cries still disturb me to this moment. I only wonder if we didn't bring him to this "funeral home", if he'd still be alive today. Was the shot they gave him his undoing? I do not know, and neither do they. This is why I came here to post my review.... I hope no one has to see their dog die by an incompetent humans uneducated mistake. I love you and miss you a lot, Harley. (Nov. 2011-Jan. 2014)

Trying to be as unbiased as possible here. Main complaint is with the front office staff indifferent if not rude attitude. Combine that with their lack of knowledge and either inability or lack of desire to provide feedback or updates to pet owners. We took in our dogs after finding a opened bottle of Advil in their pet bed. I was impressed with the urgency with which they were admitted and initially treated. We did not see them take any of the pills and did not have time to search the yard or house. We were told they would need to be kept, treated, and monitored for 48 - 72 hours. Our estimate for treatment was 3K total for both, $1500 each, for the 72 hours if all went well; more if tests returned any abnormalities warranting additional treatment. We were fine with this and left a $1200 deposit. Our complaint is that we were told to expect a call within 2 hours with the initial blood results. 5 hours later we called as we had not been notified, we were told that other emergencies had come in and that the someone would call us back as soon as they could. The next morning (14 hours in), we called and were again told the exact same thing and were provided no information as to their condition. 4 hours later we called and insisted on an update. We were informed that the doctor would not be in till 6 that night and would receive a call by 7 after his rounds. At 8 we called back, after once again not receiving the promised call. We were finally told that the blood work from 24 hours earlier was normal but they would like to keep them for an additional 24 hour monitored period. We decided that we would take them to our normal vet in the morning and to check them out of there as soon as possible. We were told that they needed to finish the paperwork (45 min) and then we could pick them up. 2 hours later we received the call that they were ready. When we got there, after an additional 30 min wait they were released to us with their paperwork. We were never briefed by the vet nor anyone else on the staff about their stay, blood work results, or what symptoms we should be monitoring overnight before our vet visit the next day. To say the least we are very disappointed with the overall experience and will not be using their services going forward. We are unable to comment on the doctors or techs competency, or to our dogs general stay as we only saw our vet the 1 time that the bill was discussed.

We brought our Chihuahua in for care after he became very ill. They set him up on an IV and nursed him back to health. I will say that it was fairly expensive, but not more then I would expect for such amazing compassion and treatment of out pet. We had to take the chihuhua back a few days later for a follow up and they ran more tests and never charged us! This week, we brought our new puppy in only to find out he has Parvo. The staff and doctors have been so loving and kind in their care of our baby, and they allow us to visit as often as we like and are always polite and helpful when we call for updates! I would recommend this place for excellent care of your sick pets!

If it is at all possible, go someplace else. Dr. Linville has all the characteristics that you don't want to see in the person who is going to be taking care of your pets. He is rude and uncaring. He is rough with the animals. He made some insulting remarks about my pet right there in front of me. When you tell him what's wrong with your pet, he doesn't take it seriously. If you call him to ask how your pet is doing, he'll yell at you. I didn't feel at all secure in leaving my pet with him. He seems like he is in a permanent bad mood and is just waiting to pick a fight with someone. People go to this place because their pets are very sick and injured and so they don't have the time to research the place before going. But if you get the chance, trust me, go to another emergency vet. I really wish I had.

I've had to take my dog in 3 times and dealt with Dr. Linville twice. Dr. Linville was great to me and took care of my dog. I have no idea where the bad reviews came from especially with him.
