We took our little elderly cat there to have her put down because of a large tumor. We assumed he would be just slightly higher than the other vets in the area, so didn't ask up front about the cost (it runs $35 - $40 other places). Imagine our shock when he charged $100 and then said it was because she was a cat! It's the last time we'll ever walk through that door! Oh,by the way, this was the second time we'd given him a chance: the first time, I took our labrador puppy in and told Dr. Rankin that she had been poisoned and needed a shot of Vitamin K immediately and other treatment. He looked her over and told me I was wrong, that it was just a stomach virus. I asked if he would keep her for observation. and got another no, just take her home. She'll be okay. Well, I took her home and one hour later she was dead, after severe convulsions. Sorry, two strikes on this field and you're out for good. Unless you have money to burn for an over-priced vet, don't go here.

I have been VERY impressed with Dr. Rankin's services. He performed a laser declaw on my new kitty. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions. Unfortunately, during the ride home my cat pawed at the carrier the entire time and opened the incisions up. When her paws got infected a couple days later Dr Rankin got her in immediately and cleaned the incisions and helped me out with some anitbiotics for the next several weeks while she was recovering. He even called me on a Saturday to make sure she was okay! At that point I knew this vet was a keeper!!
