My first experience with Dr. Plunkett was the day I needed to put my cat down. I decided to have the service done in my own home for the comfort of the cat and myself as well. Not the most enjoyable way to meet someone for the first time. However, Kristie and Holly were very professional and empathetic toward my grief and the situation as a whole. Lucas (the cat) was very comfortable with Dr. Kristie and passed in a very calm peaceful way. I attribute that to the professional prep and administration of the drugs. A very emotional experience was made bearable by Dr. Kristie and Holly who encouraged me to hold Lucas in my arms as he passed. I did and am thankful for the experience because death is just as much a part of life as living itself. My second call to Dr. Kristie was for a wellness exam for my senior canine. She and Holly emerged from their vehicle that was without AC all day. So we all opted to perform the exam and heart worm test on my front porch. How cool is that? Both ladies are gentle in their handling of animals and their approach in addressing me as a client and pet owner. All questions and concerns were addressed with respect for my own opinions on how to treat my animal. I tend to lean more toward the natural treatment of illnesses for myself as well as my dog and Dr. Kristie was very respectful of that fact and never once tried to talk me into something or tell me I was foolish. She is the first vet to respect me in this way. And so...I would recommend Dr. Plunkett for anyone wishing to have their pet treated in the comfort of their own home by a person who is not only professional but knowledgeable of her field and respectful to her clients, human and non-human alike!
