I took my daughters cat to this vet and what a great experience. He had to get shots, micro chip and a full exam in order to travel to Europe. The vet was fantastic--and the staff very helpful and friendly. Happy to report that he is very happy in his new home in Holland!

I have been taking my 2 dogs to VCA Rock Creek for about 2 years. Every time I have a service done at the clinic, it has been amazing. The staff at VCA RC are very friendly and answer all of the questions that I may have. I hear negative things about this clinic and I really do not see where people come up with the stories (maybe the people try and get free things and like to make a scene) but I LOVE THIS PLACE! The Doctors go over different options and help you come up with the best care for your pet. Keep up the great work folks and keep on rocking at what you do best!

I went to a previous VCA clinic in north Portland and hated it! It felt like a sales pressured situation over something very minor. I was very reluctant to come here but I had an emergency situation with my cat. This is the place to go as an emergency clinic as they won't rape your wallet like an emergency clinic. Its not open 24 hours but they are open until 10pm on the weekends. I was VERY upset that they injected my cat with the very controversial Convenia. Many animals have died from this antibiotic. Now I get to spend the next few days watching my cat.

Absolutely the worst. Completely chaotic. Untimely. They do not do what they say they will do. Incompetent. etc. Oh but they're really "nice". Incompetent. But "nice". IF that's what you're looking for in a vet when you take your dying baby there for help. I took my little girl in. The vet said she was fine. I took her in a few days later again saying she is not "fine". They took x-rays. They told me they didn't know how to read them so they would have to get back to me with the results. They didn't call when they said they would. I called. I waited for them to call me back. Again I waited. (I waited an hour in the waiting room the second time we went in.) Finally they called me back. The vet, Christine Brennan, gave me a bunch of vet jargon. I asked her what she thought was best. She asked me what I want to do. I asked for my options. Again, I asked her what she thought, since she is supposedly the professional. She hung up on me. I called to complain. I asked for a number for corporate. They gave me another woman, unannounced, who also shortly hung up on me. I gathered from these unproductive interactions, that they were trying to cover their butts. They dropped the ball and now my little girl is on death's door. And all they care about is being seen as blameless. Let's revisit the facts. Went for the first visit -- was told she was fine. That was not true. (She hadn't pooped in a week. Of COURSE she wasn't "fine"!) Went in days later for the second visit -- waited an hour for the vet and had an x-ray but was told they don't know how to read them so I'd have to wait some more. Next day -- no call as promised and when I hounded them, as I had to, they hung up on me. Do they care about my little girl? Does corporate America care about ANYTHING other than the bottom line? No is the answer to both questions. Not my kind of place. If my little girl dies due to their negligence, I WILL sue them! If I were you, I would steer clear of this money-making machine. They don't care about your sweetie. They just want your money.

Dr. Brennan is an excellent vet. She is open minded and compassionate as well as exceptionally competent. I've had pets for >50 years and she is my favorite vet every.
