I recently moved to Beaverton from SW Portland and was looking for a new vet. Dr. Voelkel has been great, even when my little orange tabby girl bit him during our first visit! The staff is super friendly and outgoing. Personal and relaxed place to go for great kitty care.

I am a proud rescue mama and have had my cat for 10 months now. I brought my cat to Accent on Cats for an initial checkup, as the Oregon Humane Society included it with her post adoption paperwork. Dr. Voelkel is a wonderful, gentle veterinarian who loves doing what he does. He is always available to explain anything that you have questions on and is very thorough and knowledgeable. The prices for the lab work that I had done were very reasonable as well. The atmosphere in the office is very calming and relaxing...I love the fact that this is a CAT ONLY clinic and you don't have to worry about dog smells or barking and stressing your cat out or scaring it half to death. All of the reasons above are why I love bringing my cat here. She gets her nails trimmed once every 4-6 weeks or so and her 1st annual kitty wellness checkup is a couple of months away. I will definitely keep bringing her here! I would definitely recommend Dr. Voelkel and his staff to anyone who needs a great vet for their kitty!

Dr. Voelkel is absolutely wonderful! My cat can be very sensitive to being over handled and can get very upset when she is, but she is as calm as can be whenever I bring her here. I have taken her to other vets and she hated it and was very stressed out. Dr. Voelkel has always explained everything to me very simply, has never tried to do any unnecessary tests or procedures. He is always honest with me and is a very nice person in general. His office staff in wonderful and I will never take my cat anywhere else!

Love this vet. He is a great and caring doctor for my cats. His assistant Sarah is the best!

Along with the positive things identified by other reviewers, I appreciate how they leave space when scheduling appointments. I've never felt rushed, and the generous time allotment means the previous client is usually gone by the time the next one comes in. This leads to a overall environment that is peaceful, calm, and much less stressful for my cat.
