My mother and father have had 3 Springer Spaniels over the past 40 years, and have taken all of them to Canyon Pet Hospital back when it was still located on Canyon Road. All of them were seen by either Dr Hughes or his now retired partner, Dr Hayes. All received excellent care. I now, take my little Chihuahua to see Dr Boothe at Canyon Pet Hospital since she was 12 weeks old. I have no idea what this person is talking about in regard to the vets not knowing what they are doing. I trust Dr Hughes, and especially Dr Boothe implicitly with the care of my dog. She is always happy to see my dog, is very friendly, knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything without rushing me. I feel that she and the staff genuinely care about the well being and health of my dog. I would never take my dog anywhere else, ever.

This is either an office full of incompetent veterinarians, or they are running a really successful scam. Either way, stay away! The people that work there are nice at first meeting, but I have taken my dog here 6+ times over the past 12 months trying to resolve a skin issue. The last time, I was taking her for a followup appointment which I had told I wouldn't be charged for. Not only did the vet NOT do any followup testing, he took her back to the back room and came back claiming she has fleas and that this must be what's going on (but that wasn't the issue the other times we've come?). They then tried to charge us over $160 for flea meds (which I found at Fred Meyer for $50) and for a vet visit. Side note: Dr. Hughes heard me discussing the bill with the receptionist, opened his office door and then immediately closed it when he made eye contact with me. If you're going to insist your office members ensure you are not upholding your word, at least back them up on it, instead of hiding like a coward.

I want to thank the staff and Vet at this pet hospital for the expert and tender care they gave to our Cat of 16 years. She was about 18 years old as we adopted her when she was a two year old stray needing a good home. Well really she adopted us because she came into our home and made it her own. This is the best vet hospital I have been to in 18 years they took care of our kibby a couple of yrs ago when we needed a vet this hospital has the best vets and staff in the world(in my opion) the doctors will tell you the truth about everything we had to let her go to heaven and the staff and doctor were so caring in our time of sorrow. I highly recommend this hospital i love them

We have been going to Canyon Pet Hospital since we moved the area and got our first dog Sparky, since then we have had several pets and all them well cared for by the doctors and staff. I wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Told me all the things I needed to do and I said sure, let's do it. I should have asked them to give me prices, but I didn't. I assumed if they were super high, I'd be told. Not true. At the end of my appointment, I was presented with a bill for just shy of $300, including a $50 charge for anal gland expression, a service included in most groomings. On a follow-up visit, the anal gland procedure didn't completely resolve the issue, so they needed to repeat it. I assumed no charge (you'd think I would have asked) and they charged another $50 (after a discussion, they reduced it by 50%). I need to take some of the responsibility, but I have never dealt with a company who would feel free to run up a bill.
