My dog had been acting really weird and I called Tanasborne Vet ER and told them what was going on. they told me to come in ASAP. My dog ended up staying the night on IV. They kept me well informed on everything that was going on. They didnt sugar coat anything, making it easier to full understand how my pet is doing. The two ladies at the front desk we so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone in an emergency.

Very compassionate doctor. The staff was wonderful. I was so impressed. The bill was impressive as well. Wish it was a little more affordable. I guess this is the cost of owning a pet. Will not be adding family members. But I would go here again!!

I brought my dog in for a broken nail, because we didn't know how exposed it was to the root so we opted for going in before the morning. The staff and vet were fabulous - he had only broken the nail right to where the nerve starts so they just trimmed his nails and charged us for a trim instead of for an entire exam. It was SUPER nice of them, and they were very friendly!

Have found the need to visit this clinic twice. Both times for my beloved lab/dane/ridgeback mix fur-baby, Hogan. Both times were pretty stressful. Hogan was diagnosed with cancer and lost a LOT of weight. The first visit in 7/2013 we met with Lori Bradshaw. She was magnificent! Gave us lots of time to ask questions, many options for what we could do, what to expect...keeping my strapped budget limits in mind. Basically....with his health conditions, it was recommended to make him comfortable for the time he had left. The second visit was sadder than the first. It was time for Hogan to return to Gods care. Very early on a Sunday morning in March 2014, it was obvious my buddy was in distress. I called the clinic and the receptionist asked for an ETA. She told me Hogan would be the priority when we arrived. Within 20 minutes of the call, we arrived. They met us carside, with staff members and a guirney to make his transition less stressful. The gentleness of their handling was heartwarming to see. During a quick check of Hogan confirming that this was, indeed, the end of his 3 year battle with cancer...the receptionist handled all the payment process which helped me to be able to leave afterward without hesitaton or delay. The Vet, Kristin Gerard explained everything that would take place and gave me the option to be with him as I said my "good byes". She was compassionate, tender, gentle, understanding, professional, knowledgeable and basically....a calming "Angel" during a very heartbreaking time. She gave me time alone with him and then explained all that was happening when he transitioned. She then stayed with me (even during a "shift change") and let my cry and talk about my big-boy beyond her quit time. I'm eternally grateful for her empathy. This place not only has a staff with the HUGEST of hearts I have ever experienced (and I've been a multiple dog owner for well over 20 years) but they are also the top of the line, experience wise. A few days after parting with my Hogan, I received a bereavement card, with a handwritten note from Kristin....and signed by the entire staff. They also made a clay baked paw print (for free) of my big-boy that will be proudly displayed in a shadow box on my family wall. Its always a sad and scary time when you need an ER Vet past regular work hours....but TVE is, BY FAR, a God send, should you need them. They don't just do their job....they re-instill a deep sense of compassion and love for all who enter their doors (something that many of the "chains" could learn a great deal from). Their prices are quite reasonable...always a factor when in emergency mode....but their hearts and genuine concern for the families and pets they treat is OFF THE CHART! Their contact info is in various places of my home and should my other 2 dogs need any emergency care....this is the place I will take them. My heart is broken with losing Hogan....but I'm also comforted that those that helped him transition...tried to make it as stress free as possible. 5 stars??? Nah....I'd give them 100! The best in the PDX area, in my opinion.

We had a very sick "kitty" (20 lbs. of Maine Coon cat) in need of immediate care due to an infection of undetermined origin. Dr. Thomas and staff responded to his condition with a plan to determine what was best for the cat and set an aggressive treatment plan to treat this mystery infection. With the state-of-the-art equipment to help in the diagnosis, and his expert knowledge, he saved our Leo. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas and his staff to anyone who needs immediate care for their pet. Thank you to Dr. Thomas and his wonderful, caring staff. Leo thrives!
