I can not stress how grateful I am that Dr. Heidi was willing to help me with a sick goat. We were not even established patients. She was very helpful on the phone and was willing to come in on the weekend. She was very courteous and gracious to us during our visit. I will be changing all my farm animals to her.
DISGUSTED. We needed our dog fixed, one of the best dogs we ever had, and my husband called to find out how much and if we could get an appointment. Being new to the area, we NEVER thought in a million years a place could treat an animal so horribly. The person asked if we wanted our male dog asleep for the surgery......WHAT??? Of course, my husband really thought he didn't hear the person right so we made the appointment and took in his best friend. We picked him up and right away new he was acting very strange. From that day he was never the same dog. He drew his teeth and growled at my husband, something he never did before that day. We had other male dogs with no other problems, so it seemed out of place. We checked for swelling or we read about other things that could go wrong, but we were not even offered pain medication when he was picked up, something that was always offered at other vets. I feel like they treated him like some farm animal and they ruined our dog. THE VET SUCKS....if you value your family member GO TO ANOTHER VET. There is quite a few good ones in GP:) Happy trails.
Gave me wrong medicine over 3 times, almost killed my dog twice. Third time I decided to do some research before I give him the medicine, finding out it was the wrong dose. I called them, they apologized but didn't refund or provided with solutions. Another time they messed up his 2 legs with a vaccine, then ask for money to fix it...fully admitting to their mistake. My dog was healthy before I took him to them, but he came out barely able to walk. Another time, a different doctor didn't know what was wrong with my dog, so I did my research after paying them, just to find out the specific disease. I call the doctor, and he tells me he needs to look it up first. He calls back and says I am right. He then proceeds to ask me to come back to check my dog again. I assumed it would be free of charge since it was me the one who diagnosed my own dog. Well, I was wrong, they charged me for the consultation again(as if the last one didn't count, I paid him for NOTHING), and of course for the meds(understandably). These people need to go back to school. Another time, my sister takes her dog there for surgery on the side, next to the ribs, but they do the wrong side, so they can't find a problem. To fix their mistake they cleaned his teeth while he is still on the anesthesia. Believe it or not, they charged her over $400 for nothing, so she had to take the dog to a different vet to perform the original procedure. Stay away from these people, your pets are NOT important to them. They treat them like objects and money makers.
We have owned animals for many years and currently do rescue work with geriatric horses and horses with physical problems. Dr. Heidi, the owner of Allen Creek Veterinary Hospital, is the most outstanding vetrinarian we have ever had the pleasure of working with. The staff is skilled and courteous....and often fun. They give you all the information you need. While they are certainly not in Medford, but in Grants Pass, and not actually an emergency clinic, when we have had emergencies they do everything possible to help. Dr. Heidi recently came out at 8:30 in the evening for a dwarf mini who had choke and then again at 11:30 that night to see how things were going. She saved the horse. I have not met a vet as willing to go the extra mile to help out with animals in distress. I could not recommend Allen Creek Hospital more highly.
I took 2 of my pets in to be nuetered. I dropped them off at 8:00am. The vet called at 4:00pm and said they couldn't get to them and that they would have to wait until the next day. They gave them no food or water that whole day. I picked them up and took them to another vet.
