They have permanently lost my business. Last Saturday my dog was having trouble breathing so I called the office around 5:40 pm - 5:45 pm. No one picked up. This was after checking online for their hours (non was listed) then Facebook where it states they were closed at 6 pm. I rush her to the office hoping to catch someone as they are our regular vet. Got there exactly 6pm. No lights and no cars in the parking lot. I call again for their emergency extension. It hung up on me 3 times with absolutely no information given!! I then Google nearby vets and realized Banfield Pet Hospital in PetSmart a few blocks away was still open. When they realized it was her breathing we were seen immediately. They took great care of us and recommended taking her to the ER at VCA Animal Hospital in Clackamas since she needed oxygen and was in possible heart failure and they were not equipped with what she needed (oxygen, overnight observation, and an echocardiogram). Not only did he not charge me, he also contacted VCA to tell them to expect us, faxed over and printed out his diagnosis for me to bring to them just in case, and printed me out directions on how to get there. All this in under half an hour time. Banfield even called to check up on her the next day and asked for updates. Since then I've had to bring her to the ER 2 more times plus a visit with a cardiologist, each time asking them to fax over her information after each visit to Gresham Animal Hospital. I have yet to hear from anyone and it's been over a week. I have never seen such lack of care from so-called vets for their own patient. I am currently looking for a new vet since clearly mine could care less.

Very knowledgeable, Veterinarians Sensitive to your concerns. Either Dr.Chris or Dr Clarissa are wonderful. I drive 40 Mins. to use them. I have referred them to clients friends and family..

I took my precious little Norwegian Elkhound, Abby, in for surgery at Gresham Animal Hospital on January 31 to have three cysts removed (two on her back and one on her leg). During the surgery, Dr. Chris discovered another cyst on her back that needed urgent attention, so he removed it. I told him later over the phone that I would like to pay for the additional cyst, but he said he would not charge for it ... !!! I just want everyone to know that I absolutely love Gresham Animal Hospital and Dr. Chris!!! He and his staff are always SO helpful, and SO friendly, and SO loving to all of the pets that I see there! I can’t say enough good about Dr. Chris and his staff!!!!

I will never take my animals here to Gresham Animal Hospital because all they care about is money. Long story short: My cat Ada was in labor for three days. The second day she had one last baby stuck in her uterus, so we talked to Dr. Chris (and he was VERY condescending) at the GAM and he told us to take her to Dove-Lewis emergency hospital because he was busy with a patient. So we do. There the Drs give her fluids and tell us to get her spayed in the morning (the dr at dove-lewis said it would cost between $250-400). When we got to the Gresham Animal Hospital the next morning Dr. Chris said it would cost $900-$1,100 for the Emergency C-Section. We told him that we wanted to do a spay where they dont worry about saving the kitten and not a c-section where they try to save to kitten because the Dr. at Dove-Lewis said the kitten was dead. He refused to do it for less because he wanted to call it an emergency c-section.So we left and while in their parking lot made an apointment with another vet at Crossroads Vet in Sherwood (Her original vet) and they said they could do it for a MAXIMUM amount of $350! Ada just happened to finally push that last baby out on her own by the time we got to the other vet. But my cat COULD have died! It was already heartbreaking to know that she had to be in pain for as long as she was because we couldn't afford the $2000 it would have cost at Dove-Lewis, and then for this dr. to overcharge and make us wait longer is just barberic. So in my opinion the Gresham Animal Hospital only cares about money and not the animals. PERIOD!

Unfortunately every time I have come here I get a different Doctor and therefor get different recommendations and advice for my pets. When my cat broke his leg they put him in an extreme large and loose cast that fell off one week later. I then had to go back and pay an additional $75 for have it put back on, only to have this cast look completely different from the first (no consistency). So far this one has lasted but every time I come in a am told a different story about when I should bring him back and the prognosis which, as anyone could imagine is extremely frustrating. The Doctors are all pleasant but the front desk is VERY ignorant to their services and protocols. Once this issue with my cats leg is cleared up I wont be returning. Not to mention their prices are extremely high compared to other clinics I've been to before I moved.
